DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 11, 2016 Zoma always found peace out in the wilds meditating, both honing his senses, and losing it and in the relative quiet of this place, it would suffice. This time it started as a way to try and push away the sensation of spinning caused by too much drink, but it quickly turned to thoughts of the....'vision', or maybe he had dozed off again. The drink was affecting him more than he probably thought. Zoma remained in this speculative half sleep for who knows how long before he was being lightly brought back to consciousness by a noise off to his right. *Muffled noises* "Hfgsey Zsyukomera, whwery arertw yowretu aluwake? Itssg thsk;e mflkiddle of the night." At the last few words, Zoma finally broke at the same time a hand came down on his shoulder. He whipped around and was a split second away from striking this intruder in a number of nasty points before the image of his new acquaintance coalesced in front of him. ".....Oh....its you," Zoma puts his arms down and backs a way a step, looking down slightly, "please, I apologize for my hastiness. I'm not used to...being around other people that much, and it is still hard for me to be woken up by others. Please forgive me, I meant no harm." Zoma is obviously shamed by his actions. I still don't like making friends, but this one was different, I actually had fun last night drinking and fighting those two rodians with him, now I've gone and almost attacked him myself. avalon rises 61 Posted December 11, 2016 Leaning back Avalon quickly extended his snap baton to block any incoming blows, only to have none come. "Its fine, everyone is a little jumpy." He said, letting the arm holding his batton relax, "Nice reflexes though." He grins slightly, compressing the baton, as he continued "It's the middle of the night, how come you are awake?" He doesn't mind Zoma's actions in the least, if combat came Avalon knew that Zoma would be ready to fight. Avalon knew why he was awake. But if Zoma had had a wierd dream as well, then something might have been wrong with their drinks. But Avalon doubted that the bartender had messed with the drinks, they had known each other for a long time. Well, a few months at least.
DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 11, 2016 "Just a strange....dream, shapes and colors," Zoma reaches up and holds the side of his head with one hand...that was no ordinary dream, something felt so familiar...I just can't place what, "...it was nothing, I just couldn't sleep and I was still a little bit drunk no thanks to you so I thought it was be good to get some fresh air before Captain takes advantage of my difficulties in the morning...Why are you up?"
avalon rises 61 Posted December 12, 2016 When Zoma mentions shapes and colors, Avalon's grin falls. "Are you sure? Because I had a dream with shapes and colors as well. Was there spheres orbiting each other and at the end a triangle?" Strange, strange. "How about we discuss this in the ship, its cold out here." Something had to have been wrong with their drinks, if Zoma and Avalon had both had the same dream maybe they could figure it out.
DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 12, 2016 "Yeah something like that, but I can't quite piece it all together....," Zoma goes out of his reverie with a little shack, "oh yeah I didn't realize how could it is. Follow me, I think one or two of the others are also awake so we don't have to worry too much about staying quiet." With that Zoma turns around and walks back towards the ship without a look back Kriff I did it again! Now that's not polite of me leaving him......oh he followed right away....ok, I guess its ok. Zoma leads the mandolorian up the ramp and into the ship, noticing more than a few of the rooms were lit.
avalon rises 61 Posted December 12, 2016 Avalon followed Zoma up the ramp, seeing numerous lights on. Though most of the rooms were quiest, he herd the sound of people talking coming from one of them, "Who's in there?" He asked, at first glance That Blasted Mynock appeared to be a mess, but upon closer inspection it was still a mess. The words were hard if not immpossible to make out through the door, but if it was opened, Avalon would be able to hear them just fine.
Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 12, 2016 As Bull and Kumro made way to the Boss' room he heard footsteps other than his and Kumro's "I heard something... footsteps... coming from the boarding ramp?" Bull turned away from his course to the Boss' room and went to loading bay whether or not Kumro followed. Once there he saw Zoma, and the Mando? 'What's he doing bringing him onto the ship' he thinks while the two walk up the ramp talking. Bull rears himself out from the shadows "Where do you think your bringing him? He's not part of the crew, and he has to many guns to be in Boss' ship." Bull growls with his arms crossed over his chest.
DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 12, 2016 "He's fine Bull, I will vouch for him." One way to try and make friends is to stick your neck out for them...or so I've been told. Plus you don't sing drinking songs to in honor of our good Emperor Palpenstein and then ignore him in need. "I stepped out for some fresh air and he found me there" Woke me up rather. "We were just coming inside to talk about a strange dream we seem to have shared and maybe have some kaf....what are you doing up yourself?"
Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 12, 2016 Bull stared Zoma down, his glare intimidating but there was a glint of Curiosity in his eye. "A Dream?! Talk." He wasn't gonna let them through without answers, 'If they had the same dream... BLAST I wish those witches were still alive.'
avalon rises 61 Posted December 12, 2016 Avslon had whipped around at the sound of the voice, this time raising his gun, before lowering it when he recognized the Zabrak from earlier. "We came in here to talk. Becuase we had a the same dream. It had shapes and colors, at the start there a few spheres and at the there was a pyramid. I'm still having trouble piecing it all together." He responded, gun still at the ready, just in case. "But why don't you answer our question?" Avalon inquired. Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 12, 2016 "Blast, we all had the same Dream, Kumro and I had awoken as well because of it." Bull uncrossed his arms, "I guess the Mando can come on board, but he drops his guns." Bull shakes his head and sighs deeply. "The one time I want to see a BLASTED witch and they're all dead." He looks at the two still frozen in the Doorway, "Come inside, we need to figure this out."
DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 13, 2016 "Witches? What do they have to do with any of this?" Zoma asks as he walks past Bull into the ship proper. He wasn't close with Bull by any means, limiting contact with him or any of his other shipmates as much as he reasonably could. But he was however used to his antics and would no longer get put off by his gruff demeanor.
Meribson 39 Posted December 13, 2016 Leaning back with her plate in hand, Yezil put her boots up on the dejarak table before taking a bite out of her nerf burger. Thinking while she chewed, Yezil came to a decision. Swallowing her bite, Yezil addressed the rest of her crew enjoying their own burgers, “Well this job put enough credits in the account that if we so desired we wouldn’t have to take any jobs for about six months easy. If we stretch it out, we could probably make a year. I don’t know about you, but that would drive me crazy.“I’m going to do some networking around here, see if there are any potential jobs lined up, so we’ll be here for about another week. Take that time to rest up, all three of you looked exhausted this morning. Given how late it was before I actually fell asleep, I’d’ve expected that all of you would be more rested than me. Anything that you adiik want to tell me?”Yezil half expected a certain member of the group to say that they had a wild, drunken roll with a certain mando. She may act the fool sometimes, but she wasn’t deaf. Her horned enforcer may have spent his evening getting an earful, and how Yezil wished she could have seen the look on his face, but at least one accepted the mando’s bar crawl invite.Speaking of mandos, it had been a while since she had been around one. The bluntness of the culture and the attitude towards family had always appealed to her. Heck after she and Bo split ways just before the Clone Wars she had painted Bo’s favorite proverb on her ship at the time. It went on every ship that Yezil purchased from then on.~*~The two supposed adults had been shouting back and forth for at least five hours with the diplomat barely getting a word in. Now, Ora liked to think of himself as an even tempered man. However, even he had his limits. The result of him reaching his limit was drawing his sword and throwing it into the table between the two bickering children.“There is a simple solution to this problem that neither of you has bothered to put forth. That being that the university excavates and studies the artifacts found, and after a period of time those artifacts are returned to the Sha’nar family. Is that such a hard thing to think of?” Ora growled out.He had far more important things to do than listen to children fighting over a toy. His master had given him a mission, and he would not fail in completing it.
Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 13, 2016 Bull was used to sleepless nights so he didn't seem to tired at least at first glance. He ate his burger with gusto as the Boss was talking, he usually was the first to finish when they had any meal together and the crew always wondered if he even tastes his food. As Bull finished the last piece of his burger he spoke "Boss, we all had a reason to be up last night, but Kumro's better at talking so I'll let her." He stood, wiping his face and picked up his plate to wash it.
The Shy Ion 502 Posted December 14, 2016 (edited) Kumro inclines her head. "Yes. We all had a reason—the same reason, in fact." There's still a sense of lingering awe to that, that she's finally found others—not just Bull, but all of them. She had worried, when she'd left, that she would never find anywhere that could compare to Wings, but those worries are gone now. This is the path she's been seeking all her life. She draws in a breath and slowly lets it out again, calming herself. It won't do to start chattering about something so important as this. "Captain, a vision came to us last night. To all of us. Sigils, symbols, two moons, the planet they encircle... and one of the artifacts they have excavated here." She curls her fingers around the rim of the table. "We have been led here, Captain, by something most of the galaxy has buried and forgotten." The Dalchi priests know it as the Divine Force, and while the first part is debatable the second is indisputably true. "I think you know what I'm speaking of. What we are speaking of. And what we must do." Edited December 14, 2016 by The Shy Ion 1 Shlambate reacted to this
Meribson 39 Posted December 19, 2016 Raising an eyebrow, Yezil righted herself and put her plate where her feet had been on the dejarak table. Running her fingers through her short crop of hair, she took a breath before letting out a sigh. By the Nine Corellian Hells her crew had a shared vision. Yezil had thought that she had left that stuff behind her after… Shaking her head to banish the memories from her mind before they could sink their hooks in, Yezil took another deep breath to calm herself. Mind racing, she pushed herself to her feet and began pacing the length of the lounge. Even when the Jedi were a major power in the galaxy, a Force-sensitive crew painted a big fat kriffing target on that crew and any ship that they were on. In the modern galaxy? She had heard rumors about what the Empire did to any Force-sensitives that they found. Whispers drifted through the underworld about agents of the Empire that hunted down Force-sensitives. Agents uncaring about the collateral destroyed in hunting their targets. She did her best to avoid politics, both before and after the…event. She would continue to do so, but not at the expense of her crew. Coming to a decision, she took a deep breath before turning to her crew and saying with far more confidence than she felt, “The mandalorians have a saying: ‘Aliit ori’shya tal’din.’ It means ‘Family is more than blood.’ My crew is my family. Go find that artifact you saw, and record as much about it as you can before the week is up.” Yezil had a feeling that she was going to regret this. DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 27, 2016 Zoma had long ago finished his burger and was listening intently to Kumro's words, you didn't live in near self imposed starvation for years to eat slowly, you ate what was put in front you, andyou ate it fast. Not ravaging it or making a scence of course, just quickly. It mostly had to do with Zoma's natural tendency towards silence, he didn't get distracted by conversing with other. He did however listen. A little surprised by Yezil's decision to help Zoma finally deciding it was time to speak up, "We're not the only one who received that vision. The Mandolorian body guard had the same vision, recited my vision back to me word for word before I even told him. I think he needs to be involved." Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 27, 2016 "The Mando? Why do you trust him." Bull growls as he finishes washing his plate. Bull makes his way back to the table arms crossed death glaring Zoma. "He probably works with the Imperials, don't you hate them, Tiny?" Bull knows the Mando saw the vision but he's not about to trust anyone without the Boss's approval of them, after all what kind of security chief would he be if he trusted every random person ever brought onto this ship. DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 27, 2016 Zoma backs up under the glare of Bull Too Close, way too close "Look, can you make sense of the vision? I can't. The four of us, Avalon included, talked it over for hours last night, and we got nowhere. This isn't going to be some stroll in the park, and I for one think that we are going to need all hands on deck for this one. Plus he doesn't work for the Imperials, he can't...".....he can't right? The Shy Ion 502 Posted December 27, 2016 "He saw the vision," Kumro says. "He is part of this now, no matter if any of us would have wanted it." She peers down at her half-eaten burger. "I won't say we must take him—but if we don't, we will be in some way lacking."
Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 27, 2016 Bull lets Zoma dart away from him, but he continues stare him down "Tiny, he's working with that family and they surround themselves with Stormtroopers. Connect the Dots" Bull roars at Zoma. "He may have seen it but that doesn't mean he won't backstab us. I suggest we do this alone." Bull doesn't try and intimidate Kumro, because just like the Boss they're tougher than most, Tiny though has buttons Bull can exploit. 2 avalon rises and DefyTheOdds reacted to this
DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 27, 2016 Trying to come up with a way to get Bull to come around to his way of thinking Zoma says, "You heard Kumro, whether you like it or not, he is a part of this. Wouldn't you rather him be with us at all times so we can keep an eye on him, rather than have him either creeping up behind us unnoticed, or beating us to find the answers, getting away with whatever the vision leads us to?" I don't like that smile he's got on his face right now. Its the smile he uses when he finds something his own particular brand of funny, or right before hes going to hit someone. Best if I just slink off to the side slowly. 1 avalon rises reacted to this
Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 27, 2016 "That's stupid Tiny, why would I want him near us." Then Bull smiles his toothy grin as a thought pops into his head. "Keep your friends close but your enemies closer... Yeah, I can keep watch on him if he's close to us, much better than your dumb idea Tiny."
DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 27, 2016 "Thats basically......." Zoma shakes his head, eh not exactly how I thought it would work, but it worked nonetheless. "The next thing is, will he care to join us, or was all of this for naught? Or do you want to plan without him? What do you think Bull?"
Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 27, 2016 "Don't ask me Tiny, you know I'm not the one who makes the plans." Bull stares straight at Kumro, "So Kumro, what's the plan?"
