Meribson 39 Posted December 6, 2016 After stopping by crew quarters to check on Kai, Yezil stood in front of the boarding ramp. Before she lowered the ramp, she turned to face her crew and passenger. "Alright ladies, welcome to Iri-whatchamacallit. Local sightseeing includes rocks, mansions, sky, snow, and grass interspersed by the occasional tree. Temperature this time of year ranges from a balmy six below to a bracing thirty below. Be sure to wear a jacket if you decide to step outside." Turning around, Yezil flipped a few switches to lower the boarding ramp. As the ramp descended, she saw six individuals waiting. Two appeared to be spaceport security guards, two zabrak (one male, one very fine looking female), a human woman in a fancy dress, and a big bruiser in mando armor. A look up and down the mando told Yezil that she would not be...entertaining him in her cabin during the stay on Iridonia. Turning back towards the zabrak, Yezil slinked towards the two with a self-assured grin on her face. Approaching the rapidly reddening zabrak woman, Yezil purred out, "I'm Captain Yezil, and who might this vision of beauty be?"
The Shy Ion 502 Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) Kumro mutters, quietly enough that those at the base of the ramp cannot hear, "The Captain seems to be making friends..." She straightens, and it's like a switch has been flipped. One moment, she's barely worthy of notice; the next, she's wearing a winning smile as she descends the ramp, her movements carrying that polite kind of deliberateness that serves to disarm. She learned it in religious service... but it can be applied just as well to diplomacy. "I'm Kumro Fente, ship's negotiator. What can we do for you?" Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 6, 2016 Bull acquired his coat and stepped out right behind Captain Yezil, he too was checking out everyone who was greeting them at the landing. However his objective was to find who was a threat an position himself to be able neutralize all threats after all what had the captain hired him for. Bull scans through the crowd assembled before the captain and his eyes settle on the Mandalorian. 'Tough armor, probably a good fighter. If it comes down to it I could kill him, it'd be hard... no it'd be a good fight." Bull started grinning as he thought to himself. Bull stops right behind Yezil as she does. His face turns sour and he crosses his arms taking up his usual position during negotiations. He waits to see if the talking goes sour and he keeps special attention on the Mandalorian. DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 6, 2016 At the sound of Yezil's announcement, Zoma places his puzzle back in one of the money pockets on his jacket, reaches back to slap the harness release, and steps in line trailing the others as they walk down the ramp. At the sight of the welcome party, and Yezil's.....demeanor...Zoma shook his head again and places himself close to the ship, trying to keep everyone in his sights. Meribson 39 Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) Glaring at the mirialan flirting with his sister, Varl growled out, "I was told that your ship had a diplomat to settle the dispute between the university and my family. I'll ask that you step away from my sister and bring forth this diplomat so that we may begin talks." Glancing at the furious man, Yezil raised an eyebrow before jerking her thumb over her shoulder and snapping out, "You want the zuzak with two horns bigger than your eriya back there. In the mean time," here Yezil turned back to the flushed, embarrassed woman, "I never did get this angel's name." "M-my name i-is Cenah. I-I like y-y-your t-t-tattoos," the now beet red zabrak managed to stammer out. "You are too cute," Yezil whispered to herself before turning back to her debarking crew. Taking a deep breath, she bellowed out orders in a volume that sounded like it should have come from a much larger person, "Shore leave for the rest of the day, we'll start unloading in the morning 0800 ship time! That gives you 12 hours to kick back!" Turning back to Cenah, a roguish grin on her face, Yezil purred out, "Would you like a tour of my ship? Or would you prefer to give me a tour of your mansion?" "I-I-I'd l-l-like t-to s-see y-your s-sh-sh-ship." ~*~ Blinking a few times at the captain's choice of words, Ora approached the zabrak male that he recognized from the employment dossier he received. Giving a respectful bow of his head as he approached, he affected an Alderannian accent as he introduced himself, "Greetings, I am Ora. The dossiers that I was forwarded were informative. Shall we begin the negotiations, or would you prefer to begin in the morning? Edited December 7, 2016 by Meribson
Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 7, 2016 As Yezil kept on entertaining her audience Bull continued to size up his competition. His eyes first fell on the two guards 'Hmm, hidden knife. Other guy has one too, not to good at hiding them though.' He thinks while maintaining his grimace. Bull looks around for more hidden weapons and spots a gun, 'Hidden blaster on the Rich kid, huh I could take him.' Bull thought as he moves toward Yezil's ear. He taps the Boss on her shoulder and bends down to whisper "Nice move Boss, I can tell you like the girl. Brother dearest and his two goons are more armed than they seem. Two knives and a gun. I can keep an eye on them or guard you." He stands back up to full height, his gaze on the Mandalorian. 'At least mando's have the pride to wear all their guns out in the open. I'd hate to kill him.' He thinks as the rest of the exchange with the greeting party progressed. After everyone is dismissed Bull follows Yezil until she tells him otherwise. He knows the girl won't try anything but her brother might. Best not to be too far from the Boss.
avalon rises 61 Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) "Right..." Avalon thinks, as he begins his assemment of the group. Large Zabrak: Threat level 85%; Tall and strong. Iktotchi Dipomat: Threat level: 25%; Iktotchi precognition can allow thrm to help their allies and avoid blows. Threat level lowered to knowledge of person. Nautolian, "Kumro": Threat Level 50%; Too forward, expierience shows that people who present their name as such have secret motives; Show extreme caution; "Short Man": Threat Level 43%, looks like he's been in a fight or two before. But appears stressed Captain: Threat Level: 15%, doesn't appear particularly deadly. But slightly deranged. And with that concluded, Avalon turned on his helmets computer system and iniated a search of databases, criminal records, social media, wikipedia pages. Etc. It seemed that they had only been charged once for carying contraband, and in a galaxy like this it isn't exactly uncommon for something of the sort. Though Avalon didn't exactly have acess to every database in the galaxy. Just a few algorithims and sector databases. The latter purchased from various individuals, and the former made in his free time. "I'm going to have to ask you to present all weapons and put them there." He points to a container. "They'll be put in our armory for you to reacquire at your lesiure or,if you want returned immediately. Depends on how dangerous they are of course." He continues in his deep voice. Luckily besides being the profesors bodyguard, he was we respected in the security deprtment. And as such, the guards would listen to him if a fight broke out. "You will all be issued lanyards on a case by case basis." Edited December 7, 2016 by avalon rises
DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 7, 2016 During the quick interchange, where Yezil yet again tried hitting on another innocent looking character, she really has a type doesn't she...Zoma thought to himself watching her try and talk this ...Cenah into following her back on the ship. How many times have I seen her employ that tactic? Oh, oh, now Bull's following her, this will be great, maybe I'll stick around and catch a bit of the yelling. Standing around appearing to zone out, but really trying to eavesdrop on the crew going back in the ship, Zoma heard the ramblings of the Mando and realized he was probably being addressed right now. Zoma turned around and wordlessly unbuckled his sword and dropped his brass knuckles in the prescribed bin. Hah, little does he know, I don't need any of those, Zoma chuckled to himself with a slight grin. "What is there to do around here for the next 12 hours?" Zoma asks the large Mando in front of him, craning his neck slightly to look into his helmet.
The Shy Ion 502 Posted December 7, 2016 (edited) Kumro removes her blade immediately, though she's inwardly regretful to part with it. It had once belonged to Khe Fente—not truly one of her ancestors, but the first to defy the Dalchi priesthood in the way Kumro had. The sword's pommel bears the same symbol tattooed on Kumro's right palm: an orange circle, broken in two places. On that world where families are marked by symbol and castes by surname, it's the symbol given to those stripped of both—though Khe had used a surname anyway, and Kumro had adopted it. She carefully lowers the sword into the container, then straightens and smiles as if parting with it is no trouble at all. "Lanyards, then. Would you have those with you, ah... sir?" avalon rises 61 Posted December 7, 2016 "No, you'll be given them," He points behind himself, "Inside. We'll have some people examine your weapons before they are returned to you." He adresses Kumro. Then, turning to face Zoma, he continues, "Not really. Unless you want to watch a whole bunch of scientists using toothpicks and paintbrushes on rock. Your best bet would be the barracks, though if you don't like Imps, "His sours on the word, "Steer clear. The facilities stormtroopers bunk there. What's your name though?" DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 7, 2016 Zoma frowns at the the mention of the Imperials but brushes it off. He looks down at his hand and thinks to himself Yezil keeps telling me I have to branch out and make friends or she is going to leave me on the next starport we dock at. Either I make friends with this guys and she keeps me on, or I make friends with this guy and she finally ditches me, but I've got an in here....before he extends it somewhat timidly. Meribson 39 Posted December 8, 2016 Glaring at the retreating forms of Yezil and his sister, Varl growled out an answer to Ora, "We'll begin in the morning I need a kriffing drink." With that, he stormed out of the hanger. Raising an eyebrow at his behavior, Professor Myran suppressed an amused expression before turning to face Ora, "Greetings, I am Professor Ashla Myran and I will be representing the University during our talks. Since the host left, I will show you to your room." Turning to face the rest of the crew, she offered, "I would suggest that in the morning you see the artifacts that have been excavated. Some of them look to predate the Old Republic." With that she turned and departed, Ora following her.
avalon rises 61 Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) As she turned to show the guests to their quarters, the professor faced Avalon, "Why don't you take a break and enjoy yourself. We don't often get visitors." After a moments consideration, Avalon nodded. He turned towards the crew of the ship and talked more freely with them, "There's a shooting range not far from here and a cantina a little ways away from here, drinks, gambling the whole package. As I've just been given a break, and asuming you want to go, I would be happy to join you." Edited December 8, 2016 by avalon rises
Meribson 39 Posted December 8, 2016 One by one, as you drift off to sleep, your vision is filled with empty void. From within the void, come two orbs. One silver, bright and soothing, the other brown, passionate and dark. Round and round, they circle their partner. After a seeming eternity, the brown orb breaks it orbit and slams into the silver orb. Instead of being hurt, the silver orb engulfs its former partner, now foe. Alone, the silver orb shifts, becoming a cube and its color changing from a bright silver to a soothing blue. Still, despite this change, the cube is alone. Then, the cube splits in half, and the two clash before one retreats. The remaining half recovers, and heals. Now whole, it is once again alone. From the void, a red pyramid appears out of nowhere and attacks the cube. For ages the two clash, altering in size and strength, a steady balance between the two. Then, the pyramid shatters, leaving just the battered cube. Again, the cube recuperates, only this time, as it does so, it becomes gradually harder and harder to see. In the background, an indistinct shape is beginning to grow. Time passes, and the cube becomes harder and harder to see, and the shape grows bigger and bigger. The cube begins to shirk, and chips break off, while the shape in the background becomes visible: the red pyramid has returned. More and more chips break off from the cube, some attaching themselves to the pyramid but most dissolving to dust. Finally, the cube shatters, leaving the pyramid triumphant. Again, like the pyramid did so long ago, a new yet old force comes from the void. Nine diamonds arrayed in a circle. Within the circle is a garden world, lush and green. Orbiting the world are two moons. One silver, the other brown. Abruptly, the vision shifts, showing the tundra outside. A grand mansion, a spaceport, and a massive hole in the ground. Zooming into the hole, you come to a stop in front of a stone tablet. Etched into the tablet, is a sphere encircled by nine diamonds and two circles. ~*~ Abruptly, you wake up, the vision burned into your memory.
avalon rises 61 Posted December 8, 2016 Stumbling out of his room in only his casual clothes, Avalon felt sick. It had been a strange almost lifelike dream. He had had nightmares before but this wasn't one nor was it a normal dream. He needed something to eat, walking down to the galley, he sat down with a sandwich annd began to eat.
Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 9, 2016 Bull fell out of his bunk as he awoke from this dream, he was a bit shaken, mostly from the fall of the top bunk. 'Weird dream... probably was the Kaf.' He thinks to himself. 'Could also be a vision, the Nightsisters did mention the Force did that. Nah... it was the Kaf." Quite awake from his fall he leaves the comfort of his room to check things out. The bridge was probably the best place to check on time. Though he was never the first to wake he decided it be better to check than to assume he could still sleep. Pitch black outside, 'Too early'. Bull made way to his bunk to go right back to sleep as he wasn't gonna wait for sunrise.
The Shy Ion 502 Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) Kumro opens her eyes and stills her shaking hands. There had been something alarming about that vision, about the pyramid especially... but it's almost reassuring, at the same time. This is what pulled her away from Na'asen, she's sure of it. As she moves to get up, she hears the unmistakable thud of the Zabrak in the top bunk falling out of bed. She watches as he walks out of the room, then gets up herself. By the time Bull returns, Kumro is dressed and fully awake, pacing back and forth. The vision is pressed into her mind like a sigil in wax, and she always thinks best when she's moving. When the door opens again, she looks over at him. "Looks like I'm not the only one awake." Edited December 9, 2016 by The Shy Ion
Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 9, 2016 Looking quizzically at Kumro pacing around, "It's late go to bed, and why are you dressed?" Bull moves past her and climbs up to his bed. As he lays on top of his bunk he notices that she's still up and walking about. "You look like you want to say something... spit it out." Bull sits up to pay some attention as he knows he will fall asleep if he stays laying down.
DefyTheOdds 94 Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) Laying on his cot in the engine room Zoma held his head in mild disgust. Why did I let that Avalon talk me into drinking so much??? Ugh if I don't throw up soon I think I'm going to make myself throw up. Burn that infernal woman, putting me in this position......and that dream. It was just so......real.....but was it just the whiskey talking? I need some fresh air, even if it's below freezing. With great effort, Zoma urges himself out of the cot and directly out of the ship, he was still in the clothes he passed out in. I might as well get my meditation in now, I don't know when else I'll be able to. And with that he walked over to the edge of their landing pad, sat down facing the wilds of Iridonia. Maybe at least this way, if I throw up, it'll just be over the side of this landing pad and none will be the wiser. The Shy Ion 502 Posted December 10, 2016 (edited) "I had an interesting dream," Kumro says, and her pacing halts. "A collection of... shapes." She lowers her voice without quite realizing it, the hush of thoughtfulness or longing, and half-whispers, "Sigils, though I don't know whose. Not mine. And that planet..." She shakes her head, unable to put her feelings into words. Edited December 10, 2016 by The Shy Ion
Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 10, 2016 Bull gets drops from his bunk again this time on purpose and puts a hand on Kumro's shoulder. "I think we had the same dream... no vision." Bulls baritone growls almost with anger. "The Nightsisters said the Force did things like this, and there's always a hidden message." Bull grunts and squeezes his grip on Kumro forgetting that she was there, "After the Separatists slaughtered us,..." he punches the wall. "I don't know if we will be able to find a witch who could help us."
The Shy Ion 502 Posted December 10, 2016 "Then we'll do this on our own," says Kumro. "There's always a way—even if we have to make it ourselves." There's an edge to her voice; she remembers quite well the time when she saw no path at all. And she's going to pay that debt of rescue, someday... no, perhaps this is not that chance, but it might be.
Shlambate 2,679 Posted December 10, 2016 Bull collects himself and begins to lace his boots. "Well, if we're gonna do anything we need to let Boss know." He stares into Kumro's eyes "She's not alone... she didn't follow my advice about the girl. So I think you should wake her." Bull puts an encouraging hand on her back as they walk out their room. 'Boss when I give you security advice you should take it.' Bull thinks to himself.
avalon rises 61 Posted December 10, 2016 Avalon realised he wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, and as such, decided to check the security feeds. He walked into the office and saw the guard on duty, saying hello, he ssked if he could check thee feeds frkm the securit cams. Once he was givrn the green light he sat down at an unoccupied desk and scrolled through the cams. Nothing. Nothing Zoma. Nothing. Wait, Zoma? flicking back to the third cam he saw his new friend in some sort of yoga pose or something. Was he still intoxicated from their trip to the Cantina. Oh, frak, the cantina. A flash of memories later he remembered what had happened at the cantina. They had been engaged in a friendly drinking contest when a pair of rodians nearby said that Mandalorians were wimps. When the other one agreed, things started to escalate. When Avalon walkec over to the one who said jt and launched a solid punch to the face. The other Rodian assaulted Avalon, and when Zoma tried to work things out. It just made things worse. The brawl had ended with a knife sticking one of the Rodian's jackets, and the Rodian in it to the wall, the other passed out with piecies of a bottle that had been smashed on his head lying near him. And with Avalon and Zoma decoding they had had enough to drink. Well, he better go check on his new acquaintance at least. Walking out to the armory, he grabbed one of his pistols, his snap baton and . He then made the quick journey to talk to Zoma. "Hey Zoma, why are you awake? Its the middle of the night." He asked the mirilian.
