It's here, it's finally here! Election Day!

]Hopefully Trump won't block reasonable things in order to press through his unreasonable ideas. And hopefully the other institutions will be strong enough to block those!

Now I don't want to see Trump dead, but if you speak of hope and good things than Pence would be a lot more useful as president than Trump himself. Could he just quit and let Pence takeover?

Well depending on how his child **** trial and racketeering trial go he might not have a choice.

Well, come to Canada.  We have mapple, cookies... also mapple cookies!  (we also have the classical chocolate chip kind)

I...  eh... I've just been informed by my wife that Canada's immigration website crashed during the election last night due to the sheer volume of people trying to get on it.  Sorry about that!

But alongside a Wall you can see from space, getting every American into work, forcing business to stop going abroad with manufacturing, reducing tax for all, building new schools, Hospitals, defeating crime, terrorism , poverty and " Kicking ISISs Ass" he also promised a T65 fix and a Scum Epic.......several of these things are iffy and a couple are next to frigging impossible.

I think I can sum it up this way, you just elected to the office of Commander and Chief a man with a head full of broken biscuits.

I am really tired right now. The way our societies evolve right now isn't even shocking to me anymore, merely exhausting. This isn't the world that was starting to form when I grew up, it might be lost.

I want humanity to evolve, to get beyond conflicts of nationality, religion and race, to even conquer the galaxy, but we will never find out if thats even possible, since no one even dares suggesting to try.

You are going to make me cry.  I grew up with the Space Race, the Space Shuttle, no war, the toppling of the Berlin Wall, the birth of the internet, and ever-increasing generational prosperity.  Progress, humanity, science.

Now, global warming is a hoax, we have been "at war" for 16 years, the housing bubble has popped, the education and healthcare bubbles are ready to pop, and a new wall "needs" to be constructed along the Mexican boarder.  You can forget about colonies on Mars, that's for sure.

But hey, we got guns and free speech (read: the ability to be rude without consequences).

I saw this somewhere on social media, so I'm paraphrasing.

Britain: "Brexit was the most damaging thing a nation could have done to itself."

USA: "Hold my beer and watch this."

I don't know what's more disgusting:  the truth of the above, or the fact that "Hold my beer and watch this" perfectly captures the American psyche.

free speech (read: the ability to be rude without consequences).

Worse: more and more these days, free speech is the ability to lie without consequences.

We live in a post-factual society where spin and soundbites are more important than facts, and experts and expertise are routinely denigrated.

I'm disgusted with Trump and scared at what he'll do, but let's not pretend that Clinton was — in any way, shape, or form — a better candidate. Neither her nor Trump represent true conservative values that would get ou nation back to where it needs to be. We don't want a socialist nation, and that's exactly where Clinton wante to take us. I absolutely reject the notion that Trump will be worse for our society than Clinton.

Clinton was a better candidate in that she is actually a lifetime politician rather than a rich blow-hard with no experience.  Unfortunately, she was also the status quo in a country looking for change.

And some of us do want a (more) socialist nation.

And some of us do not.

...and it looks like we got stupid!

I absolutely didn't like either candidate, and believe both have the potential to further destroy this nation.
