waywardgm 160 Posted March 15, 2017 Quote Stormtrooper turn - then Lang would be very happy to cover Dro-Kar! I just hope he doesn't hit the rather large droid who is punching Imperials in their shiny helmets. 1 Richardbuxton reacted to this

Aurin 386 Posted March 16, 2017 HM-6T6’s oversized lifters slam into the Stormtrooper. The sheer impact crumples the laminate armor like a small child smashing a natulite shell within its grasp, easily punching through the protective layer to crush the trooper’s ribcage below. The follow-through sends the soldier flying over the stall and out into the middle of the street. Unfazed by the oncoming onslaught, the remaining Stormtrooper holds his ground as the towering droid wades into the melee, firing his blaster rifle at point-blank range. The massive frame provides a large target and the blaster bolt rings true, puncturing the droid's blue chassis. Quote Remaining Stormie Fires: 3eA 2 successes, 2 advantage Also the difficulty :/: 1eD 0 successes, 1 threat 11 damage to you (before soak), HM-6T6. Closing the distance, Dro-Kar skids to a stop behind a large hand-pulled food cart. Given the flimsy building material, the entire stall could fall to pieces with any additional impact, making the cart unlikely to provide any real protection. Dro-Kar senses danger in his peripheral vision. Sure enough, an additional squadron of three Stormtroopers are aggressively approaching the speeder from the eastern side alleyway, weapons drawn and seeking to engage. 1 Richardbuxton reacted to this
Richardbuxton 7,319 Posted March 16, 2017 ok cool, 66 takes 3 wounds, did the trooper Disengage to Short? 1 Aurin reacted to this
Aurin 386 Posted March 17, 2017 Quote Yes - this disengaged and moved back to short (so they wouldn't be subject to the increased difficulty but providing an easier target for the ranged PCs). Sorry for not explaining bette. 1 Richardbuxton reacted to this
waywardgm 160 Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) Quote Medicine check on the half-threshold Lang: 2eP+2eA+2eD 3 successes, 2 advantage, 1 Triumph So that will heal 5 wounds (3 success + 2 ranks in Medicine), and can I apply the Triumph as an upgrade on my next check? I'll edit this post with my turn after you let me know. Grunting as the droid administers treatment for the blaster wound, Lang does his best not to squirm as the pain lessens substantially. "Mighty kind of ya, Vex. Thank you." Edited March 17, 2017 by waywardgm 1 Aurin reacted to this
Richardbuxton 7,319 Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) Flakes of old blue rusted paint burn off as the blaster bolts are absorbed by the heavy frame of 66. His once high quality frame still manages to dissipate the heat quickly though, with only a small number of his temperature sensors warning him of minor servo damage "Politely refrain from shooting me please, you need to leave this area now to avoid further conflict. Your assistance is not required" To any observing this scuffle its obvious this is something that 66 must have been told many times in the past, he is accustomed to following such an order and now he finds himself in a position of freedom he is unsure why others do not follow his simple command. Aurin 386 Posted March 18, 2017 (edited) @waywardgm it's also your go for combat. The medicine roll was for 41-Vex's turn. And yes, that's a good use of the triumph. Edited March 18, 2017 by Aurin
waywardgm 160 Posted March 18, 2017 "Now, where were we?" the Mirialan asks as the droid finishes the treatment. Looking out across the street, he sees Six-Tee-Six wading into a brawl with the remaining Imperials, and Dro-Kar taking shelter behind a shopping stall. Caizu arrives at the speeder the moment Dro calls out for cover. Leaping from the speeder (and only just disguising the wince of pain at the movement), Lang strides into the middle of the street, seemingly unfazed by the chaos around him. In truth, he is concerned stray shots will hit the Chiss, or the Dug, still hunkered down in the vehicle. Reaching the Nikto, Lang sees the oncoming trio. Drawing and firing from the hip, Lang gives the soldiers a reason to duck against the walls of the alley, though unfortunately none of his shots strike true. "Right mess this is becoming, eh partner?" Quote Firing at the new Stormtrooper team: 2eP+1eA+2eD 0 successes Waste of that Triumph, sadly. Aurin 386 Posted March 30, 2017 “Get down! Get down!” The Dug gruffly yells at Caizu as she loads into the speeder and ducks below the seats for cover. “We need to get out of here in a hurry! These kriffing idiots are going to get us kriffing killed in this firefight!” Trok exasperatedly announces. The second squad of Imperial Stormtroopers rushes down the eastern alleyway, closing the gap to provide backup for the remaining wounded soldier. “Halt, criminals! Surrender immediately!” the lead trooper commands, his voice crackling through his armor’s comm system. The storm troopers arrange into a familiar attack formation with two of the front soldiers kneeling and the third firing from a standing position. The alleyway provides an opportune angle to flank the escapees. “Engage!” the leader yells the squadron opens fire on the green-skinned bounty hunter. Quote Stormies fire on Dro-Kar: 2eP+1eA+2eD 3 successes, 2 advantage Ouch - that's 12 wounds to Dro-Kar. We'll use the two advantage to give a setback on Dro-Kar's next attack. We're back to the top of the order. With the second squad of stormies, our current order is: PC PC NPC (remaining soldier at short range of HM-6T6) PC PC NPC (squad of three at medium range of Dro-Kar and the speeder)
Aurin 386 Posted March 30, 2017 Quote Sorry for the delay here, folks! Work + travel was crazy, but we should now be back on our normally scheduled programming! Shy - I hope that you feel better! Kymrel 1,505 Posted March 30, 2017 Dro-Kar roars in anger as the blast from the Stormtrooper hits his chest. Fortunately his armor absorbs most of the impact, probably saving his life. The pain would probably bother a lesser being, but to a tough Nikto, bred to face adversity, this is nothing. Cold fury overtakes the warrior. Those Stormtroopers need to die now. The green-skinned alien calmly takes aim at the approaching Stormtroopers, ignoring the blasts from the white-armored troopers flying all around him, shattering the flimsy wagon he tried to use as cover. He guns down first one and then another trooper with brutal efficiency, landing several blasts in the first Stormtrooper's chest plate. The second is struck by a single well-placed bolt right in the helmet, shattering the white armor and killing the soldier instantly. Time to finish this. Dro-Kar takes a maneuver to aim for the group of three troopers, hoping his mechanical friend can rend the other one. Shooting three stormtroopers: 3eA+1eP+1eB+2eD+1eS 3 successes, 3 advantage Well that's pretty nice. That's 10 damage, which should drop one exactly. I'll use the advantages to activate a critical hit to kill another minion, leaving one in this group as well. 1 Aurin reacted to this
Richardbuxton 7,319 Posted March 30, 2017 (edited) With the blaster bolts barely slowing him down the large droid advances toward the single trooper, dust rising as the two scuffle in the streets. With a lot of effort the Imperial seems to be attempting to keep 66 at a distance, unfortunately its a loosing battle. "Please stop impeding our business trooper" 66 voices in his crackly way before reaching for the trooper in an attempt to knock him out with his giant fists, better unconscious than bothering us. A couple of swings clout the trooper in the chest, forcing some wind out of him, then finally 66 manages to slam his 2 giant hands against either side of the troopers helmet. It doesn't cause a lot of damage to the guy due to the strength of the helmet, but it completely upsets his balance and the trooper and he stumbles backwards falling over in the process. With a whump he crashes to the ground in a cloud of dust at 66's feet. Nearby onlookers are gaping at the large droid, many who recognise the droid from his many years serving the Hutt Teemo. Those who know who he is are surprised to see the aggression he shows, even though they have seen him in the arena for entertainment this is new. Out of the confines of ownership HM-6T6 looks far more imposing, his ferocity at bringing a member of the Empires finest too his knees is shocking. Quote Punching a trooper: 3eA+1eP+2eD 1 success, 2 advantage If 6 damage before soak is not enough to bring down the trooper then 66 Knocks the trooper down using the 2 Advantage. @Aurin who is up now? Does that trooper get to act? Edited April 2, 2017 by Richardbuxton 2 Aurin and Kymrel reacted to this
Aurin 386 Posted April 3, 2017 Quote The prone trooper is up next, then Lang (and Caizu) followed by the last remaining trooper from the group that Dro-Kar just slaughtered. The Stormtrooper uses his maneuver to stand up from prone then his action to fire. The check is upgraded twice due to ranged heavy while engaged. Please correct me if I'm wrong here? HM-6T6’s limbs move at a speed faster than any human could react and his enormous fists connect with force. At the last moment, the Stormtrooper thrusts his blaster rifle up in a hapless attempt to parry, deflecting the majority of the impact from the maintenance’s droid’s finishing blow. The force from the follow-through sends the trooper to his knees. Woozy, the Stormtrooper pushes off the heat-baked pavement, balancing himself, before aiming his blaster rifle at the large metal target. “Prepare to meet your maker, droid!” He pulls the trigger at point blank-range, rifle squared directly at HM-6T6’s core circuitry, a shot that could be lethal to the droid. Click. Nothing happens. The Stormtrooper fires again. Nothing. He throws his damaged firearm aside, nervously drawing his vibroknife in the face of the towering droid. Quote Stormie shoots at HM-6T6: 3eA+1eC+1eD 0 successes, 2 advantage, 1 Despair Well finally the dice go your way for once. Despair to break his weapon, the two advantage to get a second manuever to draw his vibroknife. The Stormies are fighting to the death... 1 Richardbuxton reacted to this
Kymrel 1,505 Posted April 3, 2017 Unfortunately that's not how shooting while engaged works. It doesn't upgrade, it adds 1 difficulty die for ranged-light weapons and two for ranged-heavy weapons. Of course we could just flip a DP to upgrade the attack and let the roll stand?
Aurin 386 Posted April 3, 2017 Quote @Kymrel ahh, that's not how I read it. Thanks for clarifying. Yes, why don't you flip the DP then. Also, Hm-6T6 has a boost die against the Stormie in his next attack. So the destiny pool is now at 4D 1L.
