I was looking at is as an out of character thing. The player will change their mind if they are warned in the moment that they will get conflict, as they will take that warning from me as "this is a really bad idea". If they are informed ahead of time what will earn them conflict, I shouldn't have to hold their hand when it comes to moral decisions unless it's a very tricky between-a-rock-and-a-hard-place kind of situation where both options are bad but one is worse.

 

At least, that's how I look at it. My own thoughts aside, I prefer to stick with the rules of the game as much as I can, so I'll continue giving them that warning.

 

 

Why would earning Conflict fall into the "really bad idea" category of things? Conflict shouldn't be presented as the bad choice, just the darker choice. It could be a good idea to do something that may earn you Conflict, depending on what you are doing.

Not sure if this has been said yet in this thread, but on top of all the goodies everyone has mentioned I just want to point out the care that the development team put in to writing this book. I mean, all of these books have been pretty good about loading up on description, but I was really feeling the love as I was reading through the motivations and the "who becomes a sentinel" sections--early Chapter One stuff (before the species and specs). Even the descriptions of the Specializations (particularly Racer) seemed a step up from the normal quality, which is no small feat.

They are one of the very few that can take 10 extra XP and manage 4/3/3/2/2/2 or 3/3/3/3/3/1 (but the 1 must be Willpower) without having the 4 tied to a specific characteristic (like Drall) or a major species weakness (like Gand and Dressellians).

Lucas and his wife, Marcia, had divorced many years before. He raised his daughters as a single parent.

He was single from 1983-2013, so there would have been no wife to include in 2005. But, to the best of my knowledge, all of the kids were in it. Son Jett was the Padawan that Bail Organa saw the clones gun down at the Jedi Temple.
