Are map tiles or lieutenants/agents from expansions used in RtL?

Recommended Posts

Assuming you have selected all of the expansions that you own as part of setup, RTL will potentially use map tiles from those expansions.

In addition, if you selected LT expansions, then use, LTs and Agents can come into play from those expansions selected.

I have found that LTs and Agents (beyond those that are already part of the campaign) generally only come into play if you reach Major Peril levels.

Just as a followup, it's a bit disappointing that expansions are enabled as all-or-nothing. For example, I would like to be able to bring along all my class decks to a friend's house so we have more options, but I would like to leave behind the map tiles at home as there is too much to carry. However, if I do that, we run the risk of drawing a side quest that uses the map tiles. In other words, even a small part of an expansion (like a class deck) is tied to all the bits of it. This isn't the case for the analog expansions like Forgotten Souls which only use the core tiles and monsters. You could bring over other class decks without the need for anything else.

However I realize it's impossible for the digital edition to do it any other way, as many expansion components do depend on each other. Oh well!

I am the opposite.

I am dreaming of the days that FFG finally makes scenarios/campaigns either for RTL or the main game that goes beyond just using the base game (or any individual expansion).

I want stuff that uses tiles simultaneously from ALL of the expansions at once.  Then throw in monsters from all of them as well. The combinations and permutations would be **** near limitless.

Yeah, I agree with this. I have had times where I had to carry each map tiles from all expansion, and in the end, I end up playing just 1 or 2...I think this could be solve with something the comunity have already asked before: A Quest Picker.

I cannot agree with you more. I see all of the expansions, all the mechanics and yet, theres isn't a campaign that tides at least 2 expansions together. I started once a fan made campaign with the Quest Vault but due to time and complications with the tool I haven't been able to finish it.

Well, I think we will have to wait to see what "The Delve" has for us...
