krzykoopa 75 Posted August 15, 2016 (edited) So last year when Dice Masters came out there was no dice bags for it. I went to the fabric store and purchased avengers and batman fabric as well as different color satin for liners and stitched a few dice bags. These worked out really well for the game and were big enough to house a deck box, dice pen, paper, and more. On the Dice masters community I posted pics and people loved them and wanted to buy them from me. This time before this game comes out I want do the same with a star wars theme. A dice bag with drawstrings that holds the cards, dice, tokens, etc. for travel I think is ideal. Before I purchase fabric I thought I would put it out and see if people were interested in this as well and if so I could get enough fabric for as many people want bags. The images are of the bags I made last year (before I put the drawstrings in) so you can see the quality. If you you are interested let me know and if a few people are I will take pics of the fabric available and get a final count. Sorry for the long post. Blutsteigen 89 Posted August 15, 2016 Fun idea, but I am going to store my dice in compartment snap-tight cases. Easier to assess and sort the collection and grab what I need for each build. Now, if traveling to just a tournament or match with friends and I know what I am bringing, a Star Wars bag would be fun. I'm a creature of habit, however, but thanks for the offer. I'm sure some people will take you up on it.
Aahzmandius_Karrde 398 Posted August 15, 2016 So ironically for dice masters I used one of the FFG dice bags. And to that point FFG has SW branded dice bags right here on the site. Yours probably of better quality, but I'll probably just grab another of the ones here.

I completely forgot about those actually, I purchased the sword and blood splatter last year and after 2 weeks the decal was coming up and the bag itself started flaking. FFG usually has superb products however those dice bags were so bad that was one of the things that prompted me to make my own. If the Star wars bags are made the same way (which they look like they are) I feel they will suffer the same design flaws. Mine will be better quality and cheaper (5$ plus shipping). I still use the DM bags I made. 1 MarthWMaster reacted to this
Aahzmandius_Karrde 398 Posted August 15, 2016 Weird. I have a dagger bag for DM and a Stormtrooper bag for my SWRPG dice and neither has had a problem.

They have several bags now for X-Wing and Imperial Assault. I would not at all be surprised to see them for Destiny as well once it comes out. Again OP, yours do look quite nice. I have several already, but appreciate the offer!

They had some made of a thin material initially which were smaller, but the newer ones are pretty large and made similarly to the ones they sell, just with different graphics. The blood splatter I used for 2 weeks and the sword only a few days. The bags you got don't have these issues at all? I feel like the way these are constructed are prone to it. Or as I said earlier I just happen to get 2 that were defective. They actually look much better in the pics than in person but iI tried to capture what I was talking about with the flaking all over especially at the tops and the decals coming up. BrobaFett 4,209 Posted August 18, 2016 (edited) I love the custom Die bags! However, it's my impression that in general the FFG board typically caters to the competitive style player who will probably, after their first few tournaments, be up to their eyeballs in FFG official dice bags, so it might be a tough sell. That said, if you throw them up on ebay and/or etsy I am sure you will do great business. I have a friend that does similar work, and gets a constant stream of orders from the people who don't play in tournaments but are still looking for a way to store their stuff. Alternatively, you could custom make yours with a zippered inner pocket or 2 that are sized to hold cards in a deckbox, allowing me to carry my dice and cards safely in the same soft container. I'd be interested in one of those as I greatly prefer soft containers to hard cases because they take up so much less space. Thank you for the advise, but, I am not trying to make profit or anything like that. Just going to make 1-2 for myself and if others were interested share with them because I would have the materials. I do not have the skill to make a zippered inner pocket, The most I was gonna test my skill is contemplating trying a flat bottom design for destiny. Lastly I already addressed what I think of FFG quality dice bags lol I took pics at one of the fabric stores by me today. I will post them in a bit. I am considering going to a different one tomorrow to see if there are other patterns.

Mattr0polis 66 Posted August 19, 2016 (edited) I love so many of the custom dice bags I see around, but the problem for me is, not once have I seen a dice bag that I liked as much as (or that was as good of quality as) just a Crown Royal bag. Like, that's peak dice bag. And buying one of those comes with alcohol. Edited August 19, 2016 by Mattr0polis
BrobaFett 4,209 Posted August 19, 2016 Odd... Ive never noticed hitting a cap. are you uploading them directly via link, or to your personal gallery? Cause that does have a limit. 1 krzykoopa reacted to this

krzykoopa 75 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 These are the patters I found so far. Thank you BrobaFett for helping me get them up! I will be checking one more store tomorrow and post what they have (if anything different). If anyone likes a pattern please say what # you like and majority will be chosen. If somehow more then a few people want bags (seems unlikely) 2 patters can be picked. I am going to try flat bottom bags over the style I used for Dice masters. ***Last thing sorry for the picture quality. I shrunk everything down when trying to upload last night. Now that I don't have to do that anymore future pics will be much clearer Edited August 20, 2016 by krzykoopa 1 clique84 reacted to this

BrobaFett 4,209 Posted August 22, 2016 Just remember to bump it and also, you might want to remake the thread at or a little closer to launch when the board is a bit more poppin' I wouldn't even know about this game if I wasn't already on the forums here. 1 krzykoopa reacted to this
