Tassedar 158 Posted September 26, 2016 Tessrah looked to Vyrr "not sure." She looks at one of the demolitionists "how far are we from the spot we must be close if a shot took part of the tunnel down."
dengarboys 22 Posted September 26, 2016 "Are you holding up, Dera?" Soryn asks as the stims take effect and Tessrah has walked off. He watches the proceedings as the others emerge from the rubble and begin to help dig out the demolition troops. "Don't push yourself to breaking point, we're going to need you alert should more situations like that arise." Her healing prowess would prove invaluable as the day progressed. Thinking over the last few minutes, Soryn decides not to chastise Tessrah for her petty words, as Kor is in the process of doing so. To offer aid to someone else isn't compassion if it comes with those kinds of statements. He wasn't going to mention his aiding her against the creature either, that would be hypocritical. Suppressing a small sigh, the Pau'an moves over to assist with the removal of rubble and attempting to help the base troops move despite their injuries. "I don't think I'm up to carrying anyone, at least not at the moment," he admits. As much as he hates doing so. What kind of Jedi was he going to be if he couldn't rescue people like this. "Best I can manage right now is helping you with it." He moves over to Kor, pulling one of the soldier's arms round his back to support the injured man. Assisting Kor in moving the injured (not sure if I should have the difficulty the same due to it being an assist, but hey, let's see!): 1eA+2eF+2eC+2eD 3 failures, 2 threat, 1 Despair, 1 Light Side, 2 Dark Side
Rakaydos 4,236 Posted September 27, 2016 Tessrah looked to Vyrr "not sure." She looks at one of the demolitionists "how far are we from the spot we must be close if a shot took part of the tunnel down." Limping, the demolitionist nods to a gun emplcement set into the side of the tunnel up ahead, gun crew bodies strewn across the floor. "That's the inner defensive line. There's a middle defensive line hundred meters beyond, and an outer defence just beyond that. The plan originally called for cutting off the enemy vangaurd and letting the defences chew them up in isolation, so the rock bridge we planned to collapse is just beyond that. But with the defence guns on this side of the canyon down, and being slowed by the wounded, it might be too little, too late.
Arctanaar 125 Posted September 27, 2016 Vyrr turned briefly to one of the injured to let them know whom he addressed, 'Well, we can still do that if we split up with one part of the group getting you to safety and the other carrying the explosives to their destination, can't we?'
Shlambate 2,679 Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) "Vyrr I don't think splitting up is an option, I can carry these guys back with Tessrah, but if I get attacked the two of us won't be able to hold off the dragons alone, only together have we beat them, and together we should stay." Kor stops to let the soldiers rest on his shoulders. "Well what do we think is the best course of action blowing the bridge so no future reinforcements come in or head back? Splitting up I think will lead to our demise. One way I'm carrying these guys both ways, the other we find a place to set them down safely in the base before proceeding to deal with clankers." Kor turns his gaze toward Dera, smiling "Unless of course you can fix their legs even more Doc!" Edited September 28, 2016 by Shlambate
The Shy Ion 502 Posted September 28, 2016 Dera frowns, looking at the condition of the two wounded. "I can't heal a broken bone. Not with the Force." She rubs at her chin with one hand. "But we cannot leave them here with a dragonoid on the loose. If we had the equipment, perhaps we could rig something up to carry them. Or we could get them to the medbay, if the medbay can be made safe. No matter what, we lose time. And if we leave them, we lose people. We've lost too many already! I—" She pauses. "Wait." Whatever she was about to say before is now forgotten. "The tunnel collapse. That wasn't the dragonoids. They must be bombing the canyon." I was about to take wounded soldiers into that canyon, she thinks, disturbed. Can we truly not afford the losses? Or am I just unwilling to admit they've hindered us? Try as she might, she doesn't have an answer. She closes her eyes. "I... agree with Vyrr. Someone has to take the most wounded to medbay." Dera takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself. "I volunteer to do so, Kor. Your resiliency will be needed here."
Shlambate 2,679 Posted September 28, 2016 Kor puts the two soldiers down to let them rest for a bit, "Well if we are so inclined to split up I don't think the only one who can mend our wounds should split from the main group. If anything Tessrah and Soryn should go to the med bay. As Tess has stated she is better at combating ranged opponents than Melee combatants, and there will be clankers in the base, Soryn has shown skill with a Lightsaber that could help them both if they are attacked. If we must split up then I think Tess and Soryn should take the men." Kor massages his forehead with a look on his face which would reflect that he is uneasy with spliting up. Thinking to himself 'We won't be able to help each other if either group is in grave danger, It's not like the ship where we could contact each other on the ship's comm and we are in the middle of a war zone.' He turns to Soryn and Tess "So what do you two think of our predicament?"
Tassedar 158 Posted September 28, 2016 Tessrah shrugged "well, the soldiers need help that can't be avoided but I have to think as to our mission. If we are to complete our goal the more jedi involved satisfy the outcome. I expect we will return down this path after our mission is complete but either decision carries risk. If we leave the soldiers they could be attacked if we do not work fast enough more than these two will suffer from our failure of the mission. I am in favor of completing our task and saving as many lives as I can that is my decision."
dengarboys 22 Posted September 28, 2016 Waiting for Tessrah to finish, Soryn contemplates courses of action. Given the limited time and resources they have, not to mention the ever present risk of the Separatists attacking full force, rather than the small trickle of forces they're committing at this point, it seems logical to get the mission done as quickly as they can. However... "I can stay," he says firmly, "These two can still use their weapons, and we should be able to hold off one or two more of those things if they do not get the drop on us from a collapsing tunnel." He says this a little less firmly, but is convinced they can do it, regardless of the waver in his voice. "You can go and see the mission done, and this way we can stay on comms, the soldiers can walk you through the demo charge placement while resting here, and then once you are finished, you can come back and pick us up. Or, if things get a little difficult, we can arrange an airlift from the base. Either way, I'm not consigning leaving these wounded alone, but we cannot jeopardize the mission, as Tessrah has said." Tassedar 158 Posted September 29, 2016 Tessrah looks around "soooo are we leaving the soldiers with soryn?"
Shlambate 2,679 Posted September 29, 2016 "No, but you are going with him to the medbay, keep each other and the troops safe." Kor says as he puts a hand on Tess' Shoulder. "Dera, Vyrr, and I will be on route to blow up the bridge, you two will make your way to the medbay and then rejoin us" Kor dusts off his armor walks toward Vyrr and Dera "Let's get going. Dera you lead I'll keep watch in the back." He says as he slaps Dera across the back.
The Shy Ion 502 Posted September 29, 2016 (edited) Dera tries not to wince at Kor's slap. "Understood," she says, nodding to Kor. She takes the lead, one hand on the hilt of her saber. Edited September 29, 2016 by The Shy Ion

Rakaydos 4,236 Posted September 30, 2016 The two injured soldiers are helped by Tess and Sorlen, the other 5 follow along with the jedi team, blasters at the ready. Demo party, you lost several minutes dealing with the creature and rockfall- give me another hustle athletics check. (average) Medic party, are you making any preparation to make carrying the injured soldier easier, or are you sticking to the formidable athletics check? Shlambate 2,679 Posted September 30, 2016 Athletics Check: 4eA+2eF+2eD 3 successes, 1 threat, 2 Light Side, 1 Dark Side (I succeed with a advantage, so I give a boost to the next demo team runner) Kor stays in the back making sure everyone keeps pace. "Alright boys hustle we've got time to beat these Clankers back but only if we get to the bridge in time." Kor scans around making sure no one falls too far behind, in the corner of his eye he spots a soldier starting to slow down, running to their side he says "Soldier you can't be going slower than me, we've got no time to wait for you, hustle!" The Shy Ion 502 Posted September 30, 2016 Dera breaks into a run, quite handily keeping pace with the rest of the group. Which is a good thing, because she's in front. Hustling: 2eA+2eD+2eF 2 Light Side, 1 Dark Side (Spending the light side pips for a success and an advantage.) Did I forget the Boost again? YES I DID: 1eB 0 successes, 1 advantage (May I use these advantages to help the remaining soldiers keep up?)
Tassedar 158 Posted September 30, 2016 Tessrah tries to lift the soldiers but fails misserably Athletics for soldiers: 2eF+2eA+1eB+4eD 1 failure, 2 threat, 2 Dark Side
Rakaydos 4,236 Posted October 1, 2016 Tessrah tries lifting a soldier wrong, his pain pressing against her sences as you're so close together. (1/5 wounds on soldier, 2 strain to tess) The demolition team runs past the second gunline- a quick view outside shows the droid forces advancing both on the canyon wall and the far rim. you cant tell if they're on your side too, but you cant think a reason they wouldnt be. Mass combat 2: 2eA+2eP+2eC+1eD+2eB 2 successes, 1 advantage, 1 Despair The fight seems to be going well, but suddenly the comms have only static- the Sepratists must be jamming you. Arctanaar 125 Posted October 1, 2016 (edited) Successful at keeping the pace with Dera, Vyrr is somewhat surprised that he is not out of breath after all that happened. The Athletics Check: 1eA+2eF+2eD 1 failure, 1 advantage, 1 Light Side, 1 Dark Side The Additional Blue Dice: 2eB 2 successes, 2 advantage OOC: I wish to spend an advantage to give a blue die to the next active character. dengarboys 22 Posted October 1, 2016 (edited) "Tessrah, stop," Soryn calls out, "That is not going to work. Neither of us are in the right state to be carrying anyone. Shall we try and fashion some form of stretcher or sled to pull? Soldiers, would you mind lending us your weapons as poles? We did no come well equipped for triage, as you can see, and I wish to get you back to your commander is the same number of pieces you are currently in."Without waiting for a proper confirmation, the Pau'an takes the rifles from the wounded pair, trusting they would have side arms if they need for combat arose. Shrugging out of his robe, he kneels down and begins lashing the thick and durable fabric between the long blasters, making doubly sure to enable the safety on the guns when he comes near the triggers. Jury-rig stretcher attempt - Robes + Guns = ???: 2eA+3eB+2eD 2 successes, 3 advantage After a few minutes work, Soryn asks for Tessrah's help, "Can you please double check that this will hold?" he questions, pointing to the knots he has tied in the robe and around the weapons. "If so, let us help these two back to the base, and then make haste to rejoin the others. Thank you, Tessrah."(So as for result - I guess we make a perfectly feasible - albeit makeshift - stretcher to drag or carry with the two wounded people on! Much better option than our poor Athletics checks killing them!) Edited October 1, 2016 by dengarboys
Rakaydos 4,236 Posted October 3, 2016 You have to squeeze both injured soldiers onto one stretcher, because theres only you two as strecherbearers, but the stretcher itself seems to be working out fine. Add an automatic success and advantage, and the difficulty goes down to hard.
Shlambate 2,679 Posted October 3, 2016 Athletics Check: 4eA+2eD+2eF 2 successes, 1 threat, 2 Dark Side (Can I use the advantage Vyrr created for some boost die? If not a strain I guess?) Kor keeps pace in the back ranks, keeping eye on those who would start to lag behind. "Don't slow down now! We are almost at the bridge." Kor shouts from the back, his eyes dart around looking out for more beasts.
Tassedar 158 Posted October 3, 2016 (edited) Tessrah ignores soryn for the most part helping the soldiers on the stretcher. She keeps herself quiet only giving the most direct answer to questions. The Shy Ion 502 Posted October 3, 2016 Dera keeps up the pace, occasionally glancing back to make sure no one else is flagging. As they near the bridge, she starts keeping an eye on the sky as well.
