Chains that Rust or Store Shelves that Rust?

Recommended Posts

I wonder if FFG would do something like a conversion kit plus. Last time they converted the heroes and monsters, how about shop items? Just provide us with a sticker sheet to put over the old text/ dice, charge us 50 dollars and rake in the cash!

I would love an "updated box" with all cards and stuff updated

but i'm not sure it would be a good idea, since many players would be irrateted to have to pay back for updated cards.

and 50 bucks ? ouch ! I would pay for only half at most

A lot of people got the CK, some even got it without the original minis, so there is a demand for 'updated stuff'. Just wait until such a thing would hit the shelves in your local stores on payday:p

It's funny because although I don't feel too rushed about getting the expansion, I felt slight disappointment when I opened my package last Thursday to find out it wasn't Chains in the box but DoW The Long Night. Even the game I have been anticipating the most this year couldn't override that feeling of frustration :)

There are 9 new act 2 shop cards:

Blessed armor - 250 gold, heavy armor, grey defence die - You cannot equip runes. Each time you erform an attribute test, roll 2 gray defence dice instead of 1 grey and 1 black defence die.

Rune-touched leather - 150 gold, light armor, rune, brown defence die - If you have 2 runes equipped, replace this card's brown defence die with a grey defence die. If you have 3 or more runes equipped, replace ir with a black die.

Mask of horrors - 75 gold, helmet - Exhaust this card when you are dealt damage from an attack. The figure performing the attack is terrified. Limit 1 helmet equipped at a time.

Sash of slayer - 75 gold, belt - Exhaust this card when you defeat a monster. Choose 1 monster adjacent to you. That monster is terrified. Limit 1 belt equipped at a time.

Horned Shield - 150 gold, shield, grey defence die - Each time a figure adjacent to you performs an attack that targets you, before dice are rolled that figure may suffer 2 damage to remove 1 grey defence die from your defence pool.

Bloodthirsty Bracers - 125 gold, trinket - Exhaust this card when you perform an attack, after dice are rolled. Reroll any or all of your attack and power dice. If this attack does not defeat a monster suffer 2 damage.

Lightning javaelin - 200 gold, exotic, magic, ranged, BYY - Each of your attacks gain +X range, where X is equal to your might. surge: stun surge:+2 damage

Bone wand - 200gold, magic, wand, ranged, BYY - When a hero within 3 spaces of you is defeated, 1 other hero within 3 spaces of you recovers 1 fatigue. Surge: +2 Range, +1 Damage. Surge:+2 Damage

Fists of iron - 125 gold, exotic, melee, BYY - Once during each of your turns, you may perform 1 attack that does not require an action. Surge: +1 Damage. Surge: +1 Damage

One thing i find interesting about the combined Bilehall/Chains campaign is that overlord does not have a reward for the interlude. Heroes still get 25 gold per hero if they win.

Lightning Javelin and Bone wand are one handed and fists of iron is two handed.

I do think that blessed armor is powerful but it is also quite expensive. Compared to chainmail it costs 100 gold more for the same defence value. So you are basically paying 100gold for +1 to all stats.
