dengarboys 22 Posted August 17, 2016 I have seen far too many attempts at combat on the exterior of ships to think it's anywhere near a good idea to try that haha!
Tassedar 158 Posted August 17, 2016 Yeah I have a pitiful brawn 1 with only force rating to help...wont be doing anything like that for a while.
Rakaydos 4,236 Posted August 17, 2016 Did someone say athletics? I can do that. Difficulty? Same as the piloting check- 3 reds at full throttle, dropping reds to purples if the ship goes slower.
dengarboys 22 Posted August 17, 2016 Did someone say athletics? I can do that. Difficulty? Same as the piloting check- 3 reds at full throttle, dropping reds to purples if the ship goes slower. Is it possible to have someone reroute power from the engines into the electronics to fry and Buzz Droids that try to cripple the ship? I can't think of many ways to stop them without risking falling out of a frigate or using Force Move to dislodge them, as I don't know if any of us have the Hurl upgrade? Shlambate 2,679 Posted August 17, 2016 (edited) I also have mechanics that idea of frying them might work. What would the difficulty be on that? Edited August 17, 2016 by Shlambate 1 dengarboys reacted to this
dengarboys 22 Posted August 17, 2016 I just don't want to risk people precariously positioning themselves for swinging sabers when we might manage to cope til landing with clever use of ship systems. Falling to a splattery death is not a fun way to go!
The Shy Ion 502 Posted August 17, 2016 Of course, we do keep banging into the canyon walls... but given how the clones have been rolling, I'm not sure trying to scrape them off is a good plan. 1 dengarboys reacted to this
MagicBlueFish 3 Posted August 17, 2016 I'd say using a Mechanics roll to rout power from the engines to the exterior might be best. It should fry them. 1 dengarboys reacted to this

Shlambate 2,679 Posted August 17, 2016 I just need difficulty and I can roll it! I do have mechanics and we can add in a destiny point. 1 dengarboys reacted to this
Tassedar 158 Posted August 17, 2016 And if tessrah isn't too busy she can assist Kor to give him 2 boost... To his ego or the mechanics roll 1 Shlambate reacted to this
The Shy Ion 502 Posted August 17, 2016 @Tassedar: I think I've got the wrong version of your sheet bookmarked—it doesn't show you as having the Hurl upgrade. Could you shoot me a link to the updated one?
Tassedar 158 Posted August 17, 2016 Don't need hurl just to lift something and drop it over the side
Rakaydos 4,236 Posted August 17, 2016 The counslar ship isnt wired to route power through the hull. Lets call it Formidable with an upgrade (3 purple, 1 red) and disadvantage makes it take more time 1 dengarboys reacted to this

Mess with the electronics of anything between the hull and a certain range from it? I.e. 1 metre? Would that ease the check at all? Shlambate 2,679 Posted August 17, 2016 Is that one setback on top of the difficulty? Cause this is what I've got. Mechanics Check: 2eP+1eA+2eB+1eC+3eD 3 successes, 3 threat 1 dengarboys reacted to this
Rakaydos 4,236 Posted August 17, 2016 Buzzdroids are already configured for shield penetration to reach hull- they'd resist all the easy shield reconfigurations that are used to ward off, say, mynocks. Still a formidable+ upgrade check to bypass the "Fighting on the hull" encounter. 1 dengarboys reacted to this
Tassedar 158 Posted August 17, 2016 BTW I believe unless these are rivals there is no opposed athletics only a discipline check for the power use Rakaydos 3 setback seems stiff as well but the check success with a triumph
dengarboys 22 Posted August 17, 2016 (edited) It's not that I necessarily want to bypass it. Just do it when we're not bouncing off cliffsides or going full tilt through a canyon haha! BTW I believe unless these are rivals there is no opposed athletics only a discipline check for the power use Rakaydos 3 setback seems stiff as well but the check success with a triumph Don't you have to have Hurl to aggressively negotiate enemies away from things? I thought it was the talent required to do an opposed check in the first place. Not that I mind, throwing droids is a national sport on Utapau... Mechanics Check: 2eP+1eA+2eB+1eC+3eD 3 successes, 3 threat You can do it, but it's going to take some work and radical rewiring. Gimmie 6x average mechanics or hard athletcs checks as actions- if more people want to help with the rewiring, it'll go faster.
Tassedar 158 Posted August 17, 2016 (edited) @dengarboys yes if I was trying to hurl them aggressively. I'm simply plucking then dropping. And letting the airflow outside do the rest Edited August 17, 2016 by Tassedar

Tassedar 158 Posted August 17, 2016 K 2 strain thus far as for the triumph I've learned a simpler way of plucking them off downgradeing future checks for them.

Downgrade to next, not downgrade to all. You only had 1 triumph.. Also take 4 conflict for the extra orokos die rolls that you didnt see fit to post. Shlambate 2,679 Posted August 17, 2016 Ok so six more mechanics checks to make the power surge in the hull? I'll fix the post once I make the rolls. If soryn and Tess help how fast would it be?
