Smashing interview with Ryan Fleming who gave an wonderful account of his experiences at Star Wars Celebration. Was good to meet you again, Ryan! :-)

I know you guys went through some of the matches and squads featured in the tournament, which was great, but just wanted to quickly share a link to our website where we put up a written turn-by-turn report (with plenty of pictures) of the final: 186th.org/news/coruscant-invitational-2016-the-final. We also have the full squad lists and pairings for the whole event, if anybody was curious about them beyond the ones you guys covered.

Hey guys, loving the Podcast, but is there anything you can do to even out the volume levels a bit? Your dialogue in particular Ed is much quieter than everyone else, especially Chad. I have to crank my headphones up all the way to hear you, then someone else is screaming at me.

Again, really appreciate the cast, just a minor issue that would make it better.

I still don't understand why the Tie/SF doesn't have a crew slot. I'm guessing FFG designed the ship without actually knowing a whole lot about it.

The Y-wing doesn't have a crew slot.

Which they screwed up too. Of course that was back in Wave 1 so they get a pass. No passes given now.

The gunner is represented by the rear firing arc- it's a dedicated position. If it had a crew with some ability/effect then it couldn't help fire the weapons. I think FFG knew enough about the ship and didn't want to add another stipulation (adding more text on cards) that if you don't equip a crew upgrade you gain a rear fire arc. With all the arc-rules this wave, I think FFG did a good job dishing this out.

I thought the same as you....Why no crew? WTF? but after reading and discussing this on many other threads, I came to the conclusion that the SF shouldn't have one.

What I wanna know: why we don't have a Mag-Pulse weapon? and what the Hell is a Mag-Pulse?

Anyone else having issues getting the episode to play? Ive tried 3 different pidcast apps and none of them can play the episode. Ive had issues with my main app in the past (overcast on ios) but have always been able to listen with apple's podcast app. Now that one wont play it either, and wont even let me subscribe (tried unsubbing to resub and see if it would fix it). I also tried the podbean app, which will at least let me subscribe but still wont play it.

When I can't get the stream to flow, I try to download from the Direct Link. That usually works for me- so now I just d/l it first.

I think they said on the show that there is some software change with their podcast server.

I listened because I wanted to hear your opinions about the Fang fighter and Tie/SF ships. Pretty much I agree with what was said.

Why can't FFG x-wing designers give Scum a new decent small base generic ship? We've seen waves 6-9 and not one new Scum small base generic pilot is on par with a Tie fighter or Z-95. I fail to understand why they keep screwing up. :( Most people learn from their mistakes.

It's a shame about the poor Tie/SF too. Now Imperial players can have sour experiences with a new ship just like Scum has had over and over again.

To the casual players reading, of course you can fly these ships and have fun. Rear arcs are cool. I'm sure they are all 'good in epic.'

Really enjoyed this episode. I couldn't help but think that Ryan should have just doubled down on ordnance with his Imp squad for Celebration. That said, it does make a ton of sense to try to make as competitive a squad as possible when you are being flown across the ocean. Cheers, and thanks for sharing the details on the tourney over there. It was a lot of fun to hear about the other players and the things your guest saw.
