Forgottenlore 9,838 Posted August 8, 2016 Give another ship at range 1-2 a free action. Essentially a generic squad leader type action previously only available to huge ships. 3 nitrobenz, Stoneface and ObiWonka reacted to this
Vineheart01 6,403 Posted August 8, 2016 key difference between coordinate and squad leader is squad leader has the PS restrictions, coordinate does not. Squad Leader cant, for example, do the BB8 trick where you PTL off an action before you perform a green move, because anybody you dump the action on has already moved. Coordinate, however, can. The PS2 basic upsilon pilot can give P11 Aces a free action to PTL off of before revealing a green move to destress and do another normal action. 1 ObiWonka reacted to this
WWHSD 9,273 Posted August 8, 2016 The big problem with Squad Leader that is solved by Coordinate is that Squad Leader is generally going to end up on one of your most expensive ships that can make better use of its action than giving it to a lower PS ship and better use of its EPT than taking Squad Leader. 1 Arma Quattro reacted to this
DarthMortis 0 Posted May 19, 2017 Need some clarification, if I check range to see if a ship can be coordinated with do I have to take that action like target locking?
thespaceinvader 17,568 Posted May 19, 2017 Yes. If it's in range, you have to perform the action. 1 nitrobenz reacted to this

Yes and no. You can measure which ships are in range, and then choose one. I mean, it's not like TL, where you have to say the ship you are trying to lock first. 1 digitalbusker reacted to this

I think your post would be helpful if I understood your abbreviated acronyms... haha

I think it's probably worthwhile to create a new thread for 2.0 coordinate questions.

That's not how Locking works in 2.0. When you lock you measure first and then declare your target. 1. Measure range from the locking ship to any number of objects. 2. Choose another object at range 0–3. 3. Assign a lock token to it with the number matching the ID marker of the locking ship.

This was a thread necro and that post was from May 2017, so at the time it was accurate
