RTL has your own campaigns and use almost everything from the physical Descent content you have, just sit and play like a new game. All the monsters, heroes, classes, conditions, and shop stuff is in the game. The app has its own campaigns though, and will add particular side quests when you have particular expansions (if you look inthe collection section and click the diffent expansions it will tell you what will be added from each).
