Water Patch Deck - Vermillinin-nin Moon

Recommended Posts

Well this was the deck I would've run (IF TRAINS RAN ON REASONABLE TIMES AND CARS WORKED!!!!!!!!) for the Water Patch, I wanted one last send-off for a character who has been a favourite of mine from before she came out.

Starter Character:

**Nagase**

Deck - 61 cards

Attacks:

Vermillion Moon x4

Clones x4

Actions:

Kung-Fu Training x3

Tag Along x3

Genocide x3

Rejection x4

Foundations:

Chester's Backing x4

Regal Bearing x4

Strife's Patronage x4

Free Will x4

Drifter x4

Shinobi Tradition x4

Kyokugen Karate x4

The Angel of Evening x4

Soul of Ling-Sheng Su x4

Hybrid Style x4

Because I thought I'd be looking at a Water-only format when I built this, I felt I had to make an OTK deck so as to counter the vast life-gain Water has available, so I decided to do so. Easiest way to me (as I did not have Spikes) was to simply thow a huge unblockable attack at them (reminiscent of the old school water decks that ran Dirty Pool). So I block, reversal with Vermillion Moon, Nagase-pump, then add +5 for each Kyokugen Karate/Genocide I have available, so the attack could be anywhere from 16-51 unblockable damage.

The deck did well in testing, and I have to say that an unexpected hero of the deck was Strife's Patronage, originally put in for it's High-block and speed reducing defensive capabilities, managed to suprise me with the usefulness of gaining information through it's Enhance, which would ensure I wouldn't be wasting my time when I threw my huge attack as it would clue me in to whether they had things that could stop it.

Unfortunately as the Ninja Computer Geek is rotating this deck will never see play, but I wouldn't mind people telling me what they think.

Well there are the Kung-Fu Trainings, and that's kinda why I mentioned Strife's Patronage's Enhance, to see what my opponent has before wasting all my cards in an attempt that's doomed to fail.

yeah. Between rejection, gorgeous team, tag along, lizardman, and other forms of recursion....I have a feeling you may be able to have to get past 2-3 rejections a turn in this event.

Loopage ftw!

yeah i agree on the whole needs more control thing(chesters, shooting cap, rejections, etc...) i think its a must in a water tourney of course rejection was banned for our event so i dont know how bad it would have affected things.

Good call on the strifes being able 2 look at your opponents hand before over commiting 2 an attack i never thought of it that way
