Iceeagle85 495 Posted September 2, 2016 (edited) Well we all have different opinions and like different things but my friend and I enjoyed the movie sure it is no Citizen Kane, Schindler's List, Godfather or something like that but we had fun and that is mostly why I watch movies. T70 Driver 1,344 Posted September 4, 2016 (edited) Assault on arkham is great, it boggles my mind that the animation side can get it so right when live action fails so frickin hard over and over. After the Killing Joke, even the animation side is suffering. Killing Joke was not bad. I've heard different from the DC fan of the group he even saw it in the cinema at a one night showing. yeah, batman and batgirl do.... something. On the plus side: Mark Hamil voices the joker and he does (as usual) a great job of it. Maybe we just need to convince Adam West to don the cowl once more. Well, you're about to get your wish. Adam West and Burt Ward are voicing Batman and Robin in an animated feature coming out later this year on DVD. When I get back to my computer I'll link the video in this post. EDIT: Back at my computer. Enjoy... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_f0NfOEb40 I have to wonder though. While Adam West is fighting crime in Gotham City, who's taking care of the mayor's job in Quahog, Rhode Island? Aaaargh! I I like it and I laugh at it and I wanna kill it at the same time! (I guess this is how the Joker feels about Batman?) 2 WokeUpDead and ViscerothSWG reacted to this
WokeUpDead 868 Posted September 4, 2016 I really liked the killing joke. it turned out quite different then I thought initially, you simply aren't surprised by a lot of stuff that -should- be the shocker moment etc. but it has other highlights. I found the ending especially .. disturbing. and I mean that in a "not sure it's good or bad, fun or scary" kind of way.

Hobojebus 11,341 Posted September 12, 2016 That's getting panned so bad people are asking if it's time for Clint to retire.
T70 Driver 1,344 Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) That's getting panned so bad people are asking if it's time for Clint to retire. Really? Most of the reviews I've read have been very positive. On Rotten Tomatoes critics gave it an 83%, viewers an 89%. Edited September 12, 2016 by T70 Driver
markspeed 20 Posted September 19, 2016 So Rotten Tomatoes is now a reputable review source?
Hobojebus 11,341 Posted September 20, 2016 So Rotten Tomatoes is now a reputable review source? No it's a review aggregate site that takes every review from reputable critics and then posts the average score, it's not a review site. 1 ViscerothSWG reacted to this
Stoneface 3,750 Posted September 22, 2016 I think Hacksaw Ridge is going to be in the top 3.

Robin Graves 6,054 Posted September 23, 2016 Nah after book of shadows that franchise is dead to me. G*ddamn book of shadows, that movies was bad. From what I've heard the new one goes back to the style of the 1st movie (and the Witch isn't pulling punches this time around) I might give it a go (and then go play in the Woods like we did last time )
Dagonet 7,246 Posted December 3, 2016 For me, Kubo and the Two Strings is high on the list, though there are still some more films I need to see before I can make a final tally. . 1 Iceeagle85 reacted to this

FTS Gecko 24,135 Posted December 4, 2016 Got to admit, there's been very few movies that have jumped out at me as must-go-and-watch this year. In fact, I haven't watched any of this year's releases. The only one I can think of that I'm remotely interested in seeing is Deadpool.
Dagonet 7,246 Posted December 5, 2016 Anyone seen Arrival? It's top 5 for sure. I'm afraid I won't be able to catch that in theatre, so I'll have to wait to watch it at home. Same with Dr Strange really.

The only one I can think of that I'm remotely interested in seeing is Deadpool. On a technical level at least, catch Jungle Book and Kubo (though they are also just plain good movies for an afternoon). Captain America: Civil War still proves Marvel is currently the top at choreographing fight scenes. I still have to watch Arrival, Neon Demon, Dr Strange, Hail Caesar, The Edge of Seventeen, The Nice Guys, Manchester by the Sea, The Nice Guys, Green Room and quite possibly a bunch of others, such as that Tim Robbins movie I can't remember the name of. ViscerothSWG 3,940 Posted December 9, 2016 Dr. Strange and Moana were great. I need to see Kubo still.
