Black Knight Leader 424 Posted August 12, 2016 Suicide squad was good. Flawed but entertaining. Nice joker. I heard it was DC "Guardians of the Friendship Galaxy". I also heard it puts BvS to shame because the people in this movie actually seem like heroes XD I will hopefully see it some day. But I also am not that big of a fan of DC, I only really like Green Lantern, and I really like those Alien and Predator crossovers they had, especially since they treated them as canon, even characters killed by the Xenomorphs were still dead after the crossover. Also Green Lantern vs Aliens was much more believable and respectful to the Alien series. The thought of Batman easily fighting off Aliens with his hands make me rather watch the Twilight Vampire series. 1 Robin Graves reacted to this
Hobojebus 11,341 Posted August 12, 2016 See that's actually a big failure no one in the suicide squad besides flag and katana is supposed to be a good guy they are super villains hit men, psychotic killers and monsters forced against their will to do the government's will. Deadshot May love his daughter but he's a killer and an unrepentant one at that, Harley may be funny but it's still the same character that killed children. If they come of as good guys then they ain't the suicide squad. 1 ViscerothSWG reacted to this

Conandoodle 1,817 Posted August 12, 2016 (edited) I'm just going to casually throw another 'shout-out' to Hardcore Henry. It was FUN! Hands down, the most entertaining film I've seen in a long time. Definitely worth a watch! -edit: Yes, I know the title looks a little pawny I assure you .. it's not Edited August 12, 2016 by Conandoodle 1 CheapCreep reacted to this

You all play supervillains fight agains the evil alien invaders who've killed all the superheroes. Meh, I can sheer for a sympathic villain.
Hobojebus 11,341 Posted August 13, 2016 Assault on arkham is great, it boggles my mind that the animation side can get it so right when live action fails so frickin hard over and over. 2 Robin Graves and ViscerothSWG reacted to this

Yeah I loved that ending: Amanda Waller: *looks out the window* "Aww shi-" Something else that's odd: How come Marvel has the good movies and the bad videogames and DC has the bad movies and good videogames? heychadwick 11,357 Posted August 22, 2016 I would probably say that Deadpool is probably the best movie of the year. I did just see Kubo of the Two Strings and really enjoyed it a lot. I'd say it's one of my top movies of the year. 1 Hobojebus reacted to this

Cr0aker 1,133 Posted September 1, 2016 I am more of a 'read the movie' kind of guy. I am not certain this came out this year but I saw it on Netflix this year: The Giver A Classic about the evils of statism, of equality over freedom, of sameness... with Jeff Bridges. 1 Piscopas reacted to this
Hobojebus 11,341 Posted September 1, 2016 The giver was not this year, I think it may of even been 2014. It's okay I didn't hate it but I wouldn't watch it again.

I am not certain this came out this year but I saw it on Netflix this year: The Giver A Classic about the evils of statism, of equality over freedom, of sameness... with Jeff Bridges. I actually just finished reading that quartet of books. They were very quick reads, but I enjoyed them. I think the third one...Messenger? ...was my favorite. ViscerothSWG 3,940 Posted September 1, 2016 Suicide squad was bad with a couple good moments. The bad guys felt like the good guys...not just the protagonists, but actually good people, and the good guys seemed like villains. That Joker was horrid. I cringed every time he was on screen. We got everyone's back story like 3 times when less than 1 was needed. Had to google the killing joke batman/batgirl thing after reading that. It's on youtube. Wow. Already wasn't planning on watching that movie. Will check out assault on arkham tonight though. DC has historically bad video games, but the batman arkham series was good. Their animation was great in the 90s. Didn't top Marvel's 90s cartoons, but I watched it too. Civil War was good. Deadpool was great. Zootopia, Ghostbusters, Through the Looking Glass, and Kung Fu Panda 3 were fun. Haven't seen Kubo or anything more recent yet so can't speak to them , but anything else prior to that is out of the conversation for Best in my opinion.
