Black Knight Leader 424 Posted July 23, 2016 (edited) I personally think its a tie between The conjuring 2 Based on true events and documented by many witnesses, including police officers. I am a follower of the Warrens. Its a shame Ed is dead, I felt this movie did him some justice. Although I don't think all the things that happen in the movie did happen in real life, I like the way the movie is created / structured because it doesn't follow the tropes most paranormal films do now days. Independence day 2, As I said in another topic, this movie is the closets you will get to a good live action Robotech movie. It was pretty good, not as good as the first, I thought it played out too quick and had to many characters that were not fleshed out well. Dr. Okun stole the show, even Jeff Goldblem was defeated. I want to see more Dr. Okun reactor meltdown lasers, oh and prequel with the ground war in Africa against the aliens. Jack Reacher 2 I like the stories and universe of Jack Reacher, they are written in the style of the old action novels like The Destroyer "Remo Williams" & "The Executioner" both influencing marvels "Punisher" character. Its full of mystery, suspense, and action. Its a great movie in my book. Dr. Strange The most powerful human character in marvel, only surpassed by Ghost Rider, even in strange eons death may die, its times like this you need some strange people, to deal with strange things, when that happens who you gonna call? The guy that has a PHD in Strange affairs! Equestria Girls 4 Legend of Everfree https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFzD0bMUWKU Its the main 6 vs the Blair Witch! No joke, she is creepier than I imagined, as well as creepy pasta. I love the main 6, and from what I have seen the story looks freaking awesome! Dagonet 7,246 Posted July 24, 2016 Deadpool was great fun, and I must say I haven't seen all that many 2016 films yet, but I tend to go for acting first, effects third. So High Rise is currently near the top.

Robin Graves 6,054 Posted July 24, 2016 Inderpendance day? *eye strats to twitch nervously* Saw it yesterday. Nice action movie, but the first one was better, if the physics in that film were anything close to reality, the aliens would have won and destroyed the planet 5 times over, and the aliens are made of stupid! It's not a bad movie (especially for summer blockbuster action) but no way I'd put it on the years best list...

Robin Graves 6,054 Posted July 24, 2016 On my better than expected list: "Batman V Superman" I'm not even kidding! for all its flaws (DC trying to cram in the justice league, lex luthor=mark zuckerberg, Jimmy olsen, emo superman, to soon to use doomsday, those dream sequences) it stil felt good and it did things ok. Ok Batman looks like frikkin iron man, but he's going up against superman! and teh kryptonite gas grenades. Oh yes! So much better than the kryptonite gauntlets from the comics. And the moment the gass wears of and supes goes: "my turn". Ok I'll admit, never was a supes fan because he's just TO goody twoshoes, wich explains why I sorta liked the last superman movie. I think it's ok for him to have a moment of "You know, why should I save these people?" (provided he snaps out of eventually)
markcsoul 2,135 Posted July 25, 2016 Sad to say I don't think I've seen a single movie released this year yet. At least none in theaters anyways. I do have a borrowed blu ray of deadpool waiting to be watched though.
T70 Driver 1,344 Posted July 25, 2016 Already Deadpool. Unless ep VIII is the best thing ever... Deadpool was the best comic to film adaptation I've seen yet. The one before that was Dredd with Karl Urban.
Conandoodle 1,817 Posted July 25, 2016 The only movie I've seen that I've talked about would have to be Hardcore Henry. You have to watch it on the biggest screen possible - cinema, projector, etc. Don't bother on a tablet/phone. It's an absolute brain melter - particularly if you're a little acrophobic like myself. Fun story too. Seriously, if you haven't heard of it, click the link above and check out the preview, you'll see exactly what I mean. 1 Robin Graves reacted to this

Hobojebus 11,341 Posted July 26, 2016 Deadpool won this year, civil war was good but it wasn't no deadpool. X-men apocalypse was also good. Other than that so far this year's been kinda crappy movie wise. 1 heychadwick reacted to this

Robin Graves 6,054 Posted July 26, 2016 (edited) Deadpool won this year, civil war was good but it wasn't no deadpool. My toughts exactly! The big fight scene and the dialogue between spdierman and cap was what made me really like it. X-men Apocalypse was good but I feel it could have been better (never was a big fan of darkseid apocalypse anyway) but it had Quicksilver being awesome and Psylocke. Psylocke! squuuueeee! Robin Graves 6,054 Posted July 27, 2016 So nobody (besides me) liked TMNT out of the shadows? Pfft H* Michael bay and anything he touches, seriously H* him. Second one is actually good. As in "I can't believe it's from the same guy who wanted to make them aliens". And we finally got Krang Bebop and Rocksteady in a movie! Mind you still hate him for transformers 2 and the rest of them (lost count) Also I've seen the TMNT anime so I'm used to worse. 1 ViscerothSWG reacted to this
Black Knight Leader 424 Posted July 27, 2016 Already Deadpool. Unless ep VIII is the best thing ever... That came out so long ago I forgot it came out this year. I still think I will stick to my opinion though, despite me liking the DP movie a lot XD Inderpendance day? *eye strats to twitch nervously* Saw it yesterday. Nice action movie, but the first one was better, if the physics in that film were anything close to reality, the aliens would have won and destroyed the planet 5 times over, and the aliens are made of stupid! It's not a bad movie (especially for summer blockbuster action) but no way I'd put it on the years best list... Yeah the first one was better, I felt stuff was too rushed in this one, but the cast is what made me like it so much. Also human fighters remind me of conceptual art I saw for a VTOL fighter the United States never made called the Dragon. Also I just feel it will be the best liveation RT movie we will ever get. I am dreading that movie, it will make every bad movie look good, I would rather watch SW Rebels than the live action RT movie just because how pointless it will be. They will need some kind of a divine intervention to make it somewhat good, even then nothing an look like it did at all without HG being sewed by Big West. Ok Batman looks like frikkin iron man, I liked that movie more than I thought I would. "I am the IRON BAT". Already Deadpool. Unless ep VIII is the best thing ever... Deadpool was the best comic to film adaptation I've seen yet. The one before that was Dredd with Karl Urban. I think the Thomas Jane Punisher has them all beat. Also the new Punisher is pretty good too. The only movie I've seen that I've talked about would have to be Hardcore Henry. You have to watch it on the biggest screen possible - cinema, projector, etc. Don't bother on a tablet/phone. It's an absolute brain melter - particularly if you're a little acrophobic like myself. Great now I wanna go watch Doom again... I LOVED DOOM!!! Although the Gatling gun in that movie was really under-powered, better to just use harsh language. Deadpool won this year, civil war was good but it wasn't no deadpool. X-men apocalypse was also good. Other than that so far this year's been kinda crappy movie wise. civil war upset me because it lacked the grand sale of events that the comic had. At least they are expanding upon the civil war in the tv shows. So nobody (besides me) liked TMNT out of the shadows? I never got to see it. Still waiting for a TMNT movie to have Slash in it. 1 Robin Graves reacted to this
