sonovabith 936 Posted July 19, 2016 As a non-force use I've got no skin in the game with regard to the mentor/holocron thing. I thought it made more narrative sense for it to be a holocron, but there's no reason a mentor wouldn't have been frozen along with them.
Kymrel 1,505 Posted July 19, 2016 Something about having a popsickle mentor doesn't sit well with me. But perhaps an old friend, dead for 3000ish years, could mentor us from beyond the grave, Obi-Van style as a force-ghost. That could be pretty cool, and a good tool for the GM as well. 1 Richardbuxton reacted to this
Prophyt 776 Posted July 19, 2016 Oh, I was just curious as to why a holocron was the majority vote instead of a mentor. Once you all have made a final decision, I'll put it in my notes
Prophyt 776 Posted July 19, 2016 As far as lightsaber crystals, that's up to you guys and how far you travel.
Kymrel 1,505 Posted July 19, 2016 From a game-mechanical point of view I much prefer a mentor and a ship to a holocron and a ship. It's just if there is a mentor-figure frozen alongside the rest of us that sort of makes the rest of the popsicle-Jedi the second fiddle to this mentor. This could, of course, be solved with a benevolent Force-Ghost... 1 Jedi Ronin reacted to this
Kymrel 1,505 Posted July 19, 2016 As far as lightsaber crystals, that's up to you guys and how far you travel. It will certainly be high on the list of priorities for the popsicles, once we figure out that the stasis damaged our crystals.

Ulric dOrien 108 Posted July 19, 2016 I am okay with a rotating slot.I really enjoyed creating a Jedisicle concept. Here is Sonya Damascene She can either be unfrozen when convenient or just have been very self absorbed. 1 Prophyt reacted to this
Prophyt 776 Posted July 19, 2016 Oh dear. All her fur? Is she the Jedi equivalent of Dr Evil's cat?
Jedi Ronin 1,588 Posted July 19, 2016 (edited) I prefer a Mentor (mechanics wise) over a Holocron (mechanics wise). Thought a Mentor (mechanics wise) could actually be a Holocron from a Master on Ossus and capable of training us further. Jedi Ronin 1,588 Posted July 19, 2016 With so many others going for Shadow maybe I should pump Will instead of Int and think about going into Seer instead?
Ulric dOrien 108 Posted July 19, 2016 Yes. I thought Bigglesworth syndrome would be a fun nod to Devaronian women having fur then not in later illustrations... Plus interesting to role play the self consciousness of having external side effects from the cryogenic sleep as well as the others. If you need a pilot, I can change her proficiency from planetary to space pilot. She can spend most of the time watching the ship and working on her katas, joining in the adventures when there are openings.
Prophyt 776 Posted July 19, 2016 As long as you're all deliberating, you're free to re-spec your characters as you see fit, pending my approval
ColonelCommissar 1,243 Posted July 19, 2016 I like the idea of a Force ghost mentor - apart from anything else they could help to catch up the Jedicicles with the events that have transpired recently.

Might be useful for one of us to have space and the other planetary. 2 Kymrel and ColonelCommissar reacted to this
Kymrel 1,505 Posted July 19, 2016 Alright, formally casting my vote for a Mentor (Force-Ghost buddy of the ancient Jedi (Jedicicle is such a negative term I think...!) preferably) and a ship. 1 Prophyt reacted to this
