ynnen 2 Posted December 15, 2009 Indeed they are. You beat me to the punch, as we were just putting up the news announcement. http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=993 Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay is a new way to experience the popular Warhammer Fantasy setting. It is a grim world, constantly at war. As a hero, you will take up weapon, spell, or prayer and do your best to combat the might of enemies terrifying to behold. As the Game Master, you will make the lands of the Old World real as you craft the story, the people, creatures, and the mysteries the other players will encounter during their adventures. Now, the four books found in the core set can be downloaded at drivethrurpg.com and rpgnow.com (You can download the Rulebook, Tome of Adventure, Tome of Blessings, and Tome of Mysteries separately, or as a bundle)! Although you still need a hard copy of the core set to get the cards, custom dice, and other necessary components, pdf copies of its informative books will provide a quick and handy reference tool. Keep watching, as more of our fan-favorite RPGs are made available through this exciting new resource!
KjetilKverndokken 1 Posted December 15, 2009 But they are weirldy compressed :/ The pdf are dual layered and takes forever to scroll before the top layer loads through - Adobe 9, Foxit and Nitro all have problems.... Wonder why they was not flattned before sending them to drivethrough. Dual layer is great idea for the printing, not so much for the viewing. Well, good to have them anyway though.. crimsontree 0 Posted December 16, 2009 Is the game playable with these 4 PDFs?
Giantcavecrab 1 Posted December 16, 2009 Nope, You need the special dice and if your characters want any abilities you'll want the cards. And if you want to have combat in your games you'll need the critical / wound cards. I'd guess its worth getting if you want to 'check out' the new rules and how the game will play? Or if (like me) you want to be able to read the books at work
LukeZZ 26 Posted December 16, 2009 Cards will not be made into .pdf?

Thanks for mentioning just that, I thought it was something wrong with my reader. But now I know that isn`t the case. And yeah its good to have the rules on pdf, it makes my waiting a bit easier. I for one didn`t found the core rulebook appaling in layout or missing on vital information. its pretty good actually. easy to sort through. cudos FFG
