Wiredin 3,459 Posted July 9, 2016 The Rebels rely heavily on their fighters, so definitely the fighter pack. Then I'd suggest to add Home One, an Assault Frigate and at least one more Corvette. With those you can play around and you can figure out which is your style that works with the Rebel fleet. With that you can pretty much discover anything the Rebels can do and you can expand your fleet according your taste from there. thats what I'm doing to start out. 2 starter kits, a squadron kit, and an assault frigate. debating between adding a heros and villans pack or a MC30

You get a better set of cards that way 1 clanofwolves reacted to this
Ginkapo 9,321 Posted July 10, 2016 For rebels, add an assault frigate, squadron pack and rogues and villains before venturing into the world of MC30's and low squad fleets. The reason is very simple, its much easy to play low squadron fleets once you have an understanding of how squadrons work, and that takes practice. 1 clanofwolves reacted to this

In X-Wing, I played quite a few games with no-mod ships to get the rules and movement action flow; even when I added mods, it was hard to remember every time what I could do and what moves I should plan so that I could optimize a future move/mod to maximize the possibilities. This game seems like X-Wing plus times 2 from the outside. I'll stick to capital ship use and mix in fighters as I get my brain wrapped around the myriad of info/possibilities.
