MDMann 1 Posted December 23, 2009 The Sabortaurum were one of the other two Assasin Templum, dealing with bombs, booby trps, terror campaigns and guerilla warfare. The other dealt with poisoning, intoxicants and subtle death. I personally feel there's room for at least two more major Templum, a Pskana Temple and a Mechassasin (which I'm morally certain exist in at least an unsanctioned state withing the Astra Telepathica and Mechanicus respectively). We know that the former are poisoners of immense skill, but we know next to nothing about the latter. The Officio Sabatorum is separate. In the troop deployment charts printed in the old Codex: Armageddon (detailing the 3rd Armageddon War and the forces involved), there are separate entries for the Officio Assassinorum (though the number of assassins deployed was classified) and the Officio Sabatorum (which contributed 27 agents to the campaign). Nothing else has ever been published about them.
the liegekiller 0 Posted December 24, 2009 Codex Assassins describes 'many such Temples..some of which are known and others that remain completely secret'. those are just the ones that GW sought to mention at whichever times. I like the work that was done in the fan created The Recongregators Sourcebook for the Inquisitor game. getting a bit into the history of not just the Recongregators faction but discussing the Ordo Sicarius, its history and more specifically, its mandate to not just oversee the OA but the creation of its own assassins as expert and lethal as Templum assassins. that material gives rise in numerous ways how Templum assassins can be inserted into Inquisitorial warbands. Plus IIRC they were also mentioned in similiar charts in Codex: Eye of Terror, and there was Trosk "Demolition Man", Officio Sabatorum ex-Operative and one of characters in Gav Thorpe´s Kill-team.
