GroggyGolem 2,848 Posted July 5, 2016 As the title says, I'll have FaD CRB soon. Expect me here on these forums around as much as the EotE ones. I understand some of the Force User mechanics already, through the generous time others have taken to explain things on forums. Conflict and the Morality system I have down other than how one might activate their Morality (I hear that's kind of like the Obligation roll?) Excited to get my hands on it. Love the art in these books and it'll be nice to own 2/3's of the CRB's. 1 Richardbuxton reacted to this
Prophyt 776 Posted July 5, 2016 According to the Game Master section, activating Morality is a percentiles roll, just like Obligation, but the recommendation is for the activated player and GM to hash out the activation privately instead of with the whole group, if I recall correctly... 2 Richardbuxton and GroggyGolem reacted to this
Richardbuxton 7,319 Posted July 5, 2016 Triggered Morality is very much a narrative thing, the effect of doubling you Morality change at the end of the session is nice, but that's all you get for it. It's worth remembering that FaD is very much focused on telling the personal story of the PC's and their connection to the Force. 1 GroggyGolem reacted to this
GroggyGolem 2,848 Posted July 13, 2016 Update 1: Read through the book and skipped/skimmed some of the core rules sections since I've read through Edge of the Empire already. I am super excited to start incorporating even just some of the themes of Force & Destiny into my games. It feels very much more fantasy themed than Edge of the Empire with players learning about lost force using traditions and hunting for artifacts and such. Loved the section on building an Inquisitor but does anyone feel like only getting 2 of those Talents provided as options is a little too low? You can have Crippling Blow and Lethal Blows to put the hurt on PC's but then you lose out on stuff that's really important for survival against Lightsaber swinging PC's and Trigger happy Mercenaries like Parry and Reflect. 1 Richardbuxton reacted to this
Richardbuxton 7,319 Posted July 13, 2016 Inquisitor rules are a lot like the Pirates Code, more a set of guidelines. In this case it's a way to very quickly stat out an experienced and powerful Nemesis, your free to embellish as you want. 1 GroggyGolem reacted to this
