(Yet another) what next?

I mainly play X wing with my daughters - the youngest usually picking which Imperial ships we buy.

However, I am at a bit of an impasse,

 

I currently have

 

FA Core,

Imperial Aces

Rebel Aces

Headhunter

Tie Advanced.

 

On the imperial side I am torn between,

 

Tie Bomber, Tie Phantom and the Decimator.

 

Rebels side it will be the Falcon, just unsure if I should wait for the Heros pack. (a Y wing too)

 

then there are the S & V - keep looking at Most wanted & Slave 1.

I usually play 2 player games (although 3 is an option if I go S&V), I have a little interest in tournaments - if only to see whats what, but at home I have little issue with subbing upgrades)

So where would you go next please?

The Bomber will be better once Imperial Veterans arrives (as will the Tie Defender). Maybe worth waiting for that?

Of the three Imperial ships you mention, I would go for the Decimator. The Phantom is very cool but harder to fly. The Bomber will be greatly improved in the upcoming Imperial Veterans expansion (with the Defender).

 

I love the Falcon, so I would suggest to get the regular one already available. It offers a lot of upgrades and the pilots are all good, except for the Outer Rim Smuggler. The upcoming Heroes of the Resistance version seems great too but we still don't know what most of the upgrades will be. The Y-Wing is a very solid and useful ship too.

 

As for Scum & Villainy, it's a fun faction, with very different and nasty abilities. Most Wanted is a must of course and the Firespary is a perfect addition, since its pilots are much more interesting than the Imperial versions.

 

Also, I would suggest getting the basic (first) Core set. You get cool pilots and a bunch of extras (dice, range rulers, second damage deck, etc.).
