rdowney1 0 Posted June 5, 2016 All- I was wondering if there is a place for Errata for all of the Star Wars RPG books? I have looked around on the site and can't seem to lay my hands on any of it. The one item that I found almost immediately in Force and Destiny is on page 49. It talks about if you want to get extra XP or gear you can get this, but then it really doesn't talk about the affect if any on your morality score. Is the last bullet point supposed to be "if you take this, you must take this as well"? Thanks.
Blackbird888 4,106 Posted June 5, 2016 "...to represent their prior experiences in the galaxy [the characters] can choose to modify their starting Morality or to gain additional experiences points or credits with which to purchase additional gear. When creating a character, each player may select one of the following options for that character." -- p. 49 Then it lists the 4 bullet points. So in F&D, each beginning character just selects one of those bonuses. So it's not errata, in this case. As for other errata, there were a few threads after the release of the book, but they were never pinned so you'd have to search for them.
Ghostofman 8,297 Posted June 5, 2016 I think the OP is just confused because when you take one of the bonus XP/Money options, you don't also have to adjust morality like you do with Obligation and Duty. 1 GMRen reacted to this
Comrade Cosmonaut 488 Posted June 6, 2016 I think the OP is just confused because when you take one of the bonus XP/Money options, you don't also have to adjust morality like you do with Obligation and Duty. I thought that was a mistake the first time I read it, too.
Ghostofman 8,297 Posted June 7, 2016 It is a little weird, until you realize that if you had to do something like drop Morality to get that XP/Credit bonus, pretty much all starting characters would begin the game on the edge of going dark. 1 GMRen reacted to this
Blackbird888 4,106 Posted June 7, 2016 I personally like this setup over the one used with Obligation/Duty. Nice and straightforward. 3 GMRen, HappyDaze and Richardbuxton reacted to this
rdowney1 0 Posted June 8, 2016 Thanks for the replies all. I guess I have played too much Rebellion and Edge, and hence I am thinking "well you have to buy this off". I guess it will work for what I am doing. Hey everyone have a great week! And if you are going to be at Origins, look me up, I will be the guy with the brand new shiny Force and Destiny characters. Donovan Morningfire 9,999 Posted June 8, 2016 Thanks for the replies all. I guess I have played too much Rebellion and Edge, and hence I am thinking "well you have to buy this off". I guess it will work for what I am doing. Don't feel bad. A lot of folks had some issues with that during the FaD Beta, especially as there was leftover text in the GM chapter that indicated that much like Duty and Obligation, a PC had to take adjust their Morality to get additional XP and/or credits at character creation. 1 GMRen reacted to this
Roganazrael 0 Posted June 9, 2016 Just picked the FaD core book today and i'm confused by the same issue. Page 107 even makes mention that characters may have more credits for starting gear if they reduced their Morality. So there's still lines that make it seem like they should be getting things like 2,500 credits for free.
