player587693 0 Posted December 10, 2009 Is it possible to disband units (for whatever reason you might have)? The most obvious need for this is when you have a spacedoc placed in a bad spot or have it hexed by the political card "holy planet of ixth" Any opinions o this? Steve-O 473 Posted December 10, 2009 The rules say you may disband units (scuttle, sic) during the Status Phase (IIRC.) Not otherwise. This is important because it prevents one player from scuttling a space dock that another player was about to capture for an objective. But during the Status Phase you may scuttle as many units as you like.
Broken6 0 Posted December 10, 2009 More specifically, only in the Status Phase, after the claim objectives step. This prevents people from scuttling blockaded space docks before someone claims that objective.
sigmazero13 102 Posted December 10, 2009 Note that the "after objectives" is in the FAQ, not in the main rules, as that exploit was pointed out after the rules were printed
Broken6 0 Posted December 10, 2009 Yes, the rule was not specific enough in the rulebook, so they had to make it more specific in the FAQ/errata.
