[100] Soontir and his Sienar buddies

Recommended Posts

I really love the aesthetics of TIE Adv. Prototype and would like to fly them en masse, so came up with this list. I know about juking Barons, but what do you think about this:

Soontir Fel + Royal Guard TIE + Push The Limit + Targeting Computer + Autothrusters (34)

Sienar Test Pilot + Homing Missiles + TIE/v1 + Guidance Chips (22)

Sienar Test Pilot + Homing Missiles + TIE/v1 + Guidance Chips (22)

Sienar Test Pilot + Homing Missiles + TIE/v1 + Guidance Chips (22).

After firing their missiles as an "alpha strike" Sienars could serve as bumpers with all those 1-hards and whatnot, while Soontir does all heavy-lifting. I'd imagine he can hit pretty hard using Targeting Computer, but I could also drop this upgrade for 2 point initiative.

Your thoughts?

Looks quite good but I forsee a few potential problems with the TAPs. Getting Target Locks with PS2 ships against higher PS opponents may be challenging. Also they will be shooting after U-boats meaning there is a real risk of losing one before it even shoots.

Gamma Sqaudron Veterans (when they appear) with Deadeye, Homing Missiles, Chips and Extra munitions will cost 5 points more but will be able to fire twice as many missiles, will fire before U-boats and Crack swarms at PS5, can fire with Focus instead to get shots off even at high PS aces and have 50% more hit points for the enemy to chew through.

2 of these plus Soontir will leave you with just enough points for a cheap Academy Tie to use a blocker.
