Arctanaar 125 Posted May 4, 2016 I think that I wish to start as either a scientist, or a saboteur. Depending on the group's background, I will probably want to play as a jury rigged and reprogrammed Clone Wars-era Confederacy droid that would be somewhat bloodthirsty despite having lost capacity for combat. Richardbuxton 7,319 Posted May 4, 2016 So a Bounty Hunter and Engineer Droid so far.
kaosoe 7,573 Posted May 4, 2016 Gungan WT: 10+ ST: 10+ Starting XP: 100 Br: 2 Agi: 2 Int: 1 Cun: 2 Will: 2 Pres: 3 Starting Skill: Athletics Abilities: Amphibious I'll have to dig around to see what I want. Maybe something tech-based. Or maybe beast rider if it can fit. I'll look around and see what sounds fun. 2 Richardbuxton and GMRen reacted to this
Richardbuxton 7,319 Posted May 4, 2016 Pick whatever interests you, we can make it fit. I'm going to bed now good night.
GMRen 196 Posted May 4, 2016 (edited) Do we have to play Gungans? Edited May 4, 2016 by GMRen
Richardbuxton 7,319 Posted May 4, 2016 That was the intention, I had said I would accept a Droid. If you have a fantastic story for why another species is involved then I'll consider it. But we are in a sense making up for GM George and his pathetic Gungan, and just having a laugh as we do it. 2 GMRen and kaosoe reacted to this

Richardbuxton 7,319 Posted May 4, 2016 Hey I haven't until now considered that a Droid won't move quickly in water like an aquatic species, but they can't drown.
Arctanaar 125 Posted May 4, 2016 Well, there are ways to move droids underwater, and, as far as I remember, the Confederacy did utilise droid troops that could move underwater just fine by themselves, if that is your concern. Even if we disregard that, a droid could be modified with modular chassis that would allow for an installation of an appropriate propulsion system, depending on the group's resources and the droid's background. Richardbuxton 7,319 Posted May 4, 2016 No no, the opposite, I can come up with more under water encounters without concern for you dying on us! I'll make sure there are times when your movement speed isn't an issue, and others where it's a challenge for everyone to overcome together. Ultimately a relatively simple powered sled is all you would need. 1 GMRen reacted to this
Moribund 23 Posted May 4, 2016 My idea for a Gungan character was an Makashi Duelist/Aggressor, just using Aggressor for Fearsome, Force Rating, and Dedication. He would be similar in character to Zatoichi, the blind swordsman. He would be self-effacing and usually armed only with a training stick. His opponents would engage him, and suddenly have some terrible realization (represented by Fearsome). Perhaps the stupid expression and clumsiness suddenly appear to be the death mask and jerky movements of the puppet of some unknowable entity. Maybe his movements were mimed flaws of his opponents. Perhaps his eyes glow the yellow of a Dark Side user. Eventually he would get Misdirect to enhance the more mundane perception shifts. I also liked the idea of Parrying lightsabers with a mere stick that thanks to Resist Disarm would stubbornly refuse to be sundered. 1 Richardbuxton reacted to this
GMRen 196 Posted May 4, 2016 How about:"Bombad army" for the name of the game? 1 Richardbuxton reacted to this
Richardbuxton 7,319 Posted May 4, 2016 A Bombad Resistance? Or Bombad Fighters

Morality wise will you play off that anger? What will your good side be?

x12377 11 Posted May 5, 2016 My for a character is...Bad with names, I'll come up with one later. So until I have a name I'll use the letter X as a placeholder. X would be from Coruscant. He would be the child of two senators, Gungan and Human, and would pick up some skill in negotiation from them. In terms of personality I imagined a wide-eyed young force user who sees the best in others. He would play up the positive traits of a situation whenever possible, a very "Glass half full" type of guy. He wouldn't be very adept at using a blaster, perhaps simply sticking to a basic blaster pistol when range is needed. (Why?!?! Because every party needs a Saber Monkey, that's why they invited me, Saber Monkeeeeeeey, Saber Monkeeeeeeeey) X would have small knowledge of the Jedi, told to him by his father who personally knew a few Jedi. Now, I'm guessing a few people have already guessed who his dad is, a Gungan senator, now who could that be? And all I can say is...It's exactly who you think it is. As for class, the Mystic due to it's use of Charm, technique involving presence, and the specilization skills being things like Charm, deception, and cool. He would use his beginning specialization for Advisor and would buy Makashi Duelist. Aside from buying Resist disarm to buy Makashi technique the remaining XP would be spent on main characteristics and skills in creation.
