I want to run 4 Bwings!

Recommended Posts

I don't think that's what anyone was saying here. Han loses his biggest benefit (going First) if you do this.

Luke synergies nicely with Yavaris, as part of a larger shield-piercing or bomber strategy; I'd probably base such a list around Dutch, Wedge, Luke, and B-wings. But it's not as simple as plopping the models on the table and hitting the IWIN button. It's a good combo, certainly, but there are lots of those in this game.

I know I'm pretty late to this thread, but I switched from B-wings to Scurggs. They're a bit more expensive, but so much more flexible on the field. You can use them without the Independence title just fine because of their increased maneuverability, they are tougher, but they lack in AS. So I typically do Jan, 3 Scurggs, and 3 X-wings with Yavaaris (also Dash or a YT2400).

The pentupple tap mentioned above (last activation of round followed by first activation of next round) is enough to fell an ISD in one go on die hits alone, and easily if you get the right crits (brought to you by Dodonna).

I like using Scurggs as flankers to chase down wounded ships. My maim Fleet bomber is the B. The other loadout I was looking at for the fleet above was to drop Jan and one X, and add to Scruggs. I feel kind of guilty because as a child when the first movie came out the Y was my favorite, and I don't even consider it these days.

Having tried a list now and using the 4 bwings to nurse maid the mc80 till an appropriate time I think I'm going to drop comms, add flight controllers and maybe expanded hanger to add nym,

As to the yavaris issue Im either going to go with using it as a fighter buff or drop the idea and tool it for firepower in my next game,

I still lost the game by the way,

but it wasn't the usual drubbing for once!

Well on inspection I can't add flight controllers, doh!

Gallant Haven is my go to carrier. You can get your flight controllers plus Tallon.

That MC30T really wants Ordnance Experts and some defense, probably Admonition; Lando if you can't find the points for Admonition.

And Leading Shots is more important to an MC80--especially Defiance--than XI7, imo. Tacking on a blue at long range to reroll a bad batch of reds is pretty tasty. I personally would drop to a Command Cruiser and use the saved points to afford XI7 too, but that's kind of a personal preference thing that depends on how you want to use it tactically.

Food for thought,

Thanks!
