Im used to finding the exact opposite kind of girl. The ones that flip out if you play games at all, not just put the game before them (which i understand THAT one)

I'm not married, but have been in a serious relationship with my girlfriend for many years and as others have said finding a supporting partner is great. My gf doesn't play x-wing, but does like Imperial Assault as well as most other games. She just doesn't seem to quite like x-wing, which i think is nuts, but she certainly doesn't mind me enjoying it.

Just start stand on your coffee table holding an x-wing and a tie fighter (randomly switch to different ships) then start quoting the end of ep4 acting out the scenes, proving to her why you need all of them. I think she will start to like your hobby and let you buy more based off that alone.

Ohh she is a knitter so we both have our money sink hobbies that the other just accepts. She absolutely loves boardgames, sci/fi, card games, etc. but just doesn't quite like X Wing like I do.

My wife (of 10 years next month) usually just gives me a raised eyebrow when ever I get a new ship.  I have my Star Wars, she has her NASCAR, so we're even.  I get to go play at my FLGS about every-other week, and at a friends on weekends, her best friend married my best friend so they can hang out while we play.
