jacen_traitor 0 Posted December 1, 2009 My husband and I bought the gamebook for the Anima game over our honeymoon. I am reading through it getting ready for a game and I cam trying to find out the battle mat to use. Square, hex, or what not. He thinks that it uses a hexagonal piece on the mat. I don't think it does. I think it uses squares, it is the only one that fits. In the attacking from behind section it mentions that the sixth to attack is the one that attacks from behind. Only squares make sense and would put the sixth attacker directly behind the character. With the hex the sixth attacker would be on the back left side of the character. Who is right? Luced 0 Posted December 3, 2009 [1][2][3][4][P][6] = 1 Player can at max be attacked by 8 [7][8][9] enemys at once 1 __ 2 / 3 = a max of 6 people can attack 4 \__/ 5 one target 6 Hex grid would probably work best.

If you are talking about Anima Tactics (the minis game), it uses squares.
