Forum Search Feature

Is there any way to use the search for a specific forum or topic rather than general search? It's difficult to find something when only one word can lead to literally hundreds of searchs, all from different game forums.

FFG downgraded the new forum.

 

It looks cook with the dark background, but we have features that are useless.

How about the ability to PM and have our own Avatars?

I agree that there are some basic features we're used to seeing on a forum, and this new FF forum seems to be lacking in that regard.

On the other hand, I disagree with your call for the ability to choose our own avatars.  I kind of like the fact that they come from FF's range of games.  It's not like there's a lack of choices, and this way:

a)  All the avatars are the same size,
b)  All the avatars are guaranteed to be work-safe (something that's very much lacking in many other forums), and
c)  It means that there's one less thing for the forum moderators to have to police.

The search feature is horrible indeed:

AND/OR keyword have not effect and there is no advanced search, which results in bloated useless search results. To add insult to injury, you cannot even search a specific sub forum.

This really needs to be addressed, or there is no point in staying with the new forums at all.

Perhaps teh Search is horrible but let's be honest, the previous one sucked as well.  It wouldn't limit your search to the forum you selected, it often put the most relevant posts last on the list and frequently didn't pull up posts that contained the word you were looking for.  So as much as I despise the new site, that is one feature from the old forum I never want to see again!

im actualy considering of seling my FFG games because of this crappy forum

 

i would rather they would close it down for good then at leased some comunety forum could be created like wiki forum on ti3 

 

the only thing it has is nice looks and you have to be patient to see them !!!

Really?  That seems a bit extreme.  Cutting off your nose to spite your face... Throwing out the baby with the bathwater... any other cliche...

What does that solve?  Did you enjoy the game(s) before these forums came into effect?  Was there some promise that you would have a coomunity support gropu when you purchased the game?  Will FFG bottom line be affected by you reselling a game?
