And in doing so the player could discard a friend they did not want? or once 3 friends are out your stuck until you use one to battle or challenge with? Yes, you can still play friends but you are forced to discard down to 3 once the friend in in play Magic/Friend cards such as Simba and Bambi have comes into play ablilities which resovle before monstro takes place.
