Objulen 6 Posted November 21, 2009 A couple of quick questions -- Psychic Discipline implies that for an Astropath to have any Disciplines other than Telepathy, he or she needs to purchase this talent. Nothing of the sort is specifically stated in the rules, but Psychic Technique's wording corroborates this interpretation. As for Bastion of Iron Will: A s-wah? I didn't read anything in the rules about a "defensive Psy Rating" or adding your Psy Ration to Opposed Psyniscience or Psychic Technique checks. Where are these concepts mentioned in the book? MILLANDSON 306 Posted November 21, 2009 For the first question, yes, you need to buy Psychic Disipline twice, once each time for Divination and Telekinesis. I don't have my book on me for Bastion, sorry.

As far as I can tell, a psyker resisting a psychic technique (that is, the psyker is the target of a Psychic Technique which has an opposed test as its Focus Power roll) gets to add his Psy Rating to the test. It's not clear, but that's the only thing I think it could be.

I imagine so, from both perspectives (the psyker attempting to block, and the psyker whose communication is being blocked).
Objulen 6 Posted November 24, 2009 N0-1, that would be my conclusion as well, but it doesn't actually say that anywhere in the book. Errata, were art thou!
