Chainsaw sweep ability

Hi,

I was playing as a red marine, packing a chainsaw. I was standing adjacent to zombie invader figure, but a blue marine was standing adjacent to me. Now, if i use my chainsaw to attack zombie, will chainsaw sweep ability also damage blue marine ? Or it just affects invader figures ?

Which I always founded weird (I mean, the rule), but alright, I do sound like a frustrated Invader player, because ****, I hate this chainsaw, prevents me from getting neaaaaaar with my demons !!
