Gottmituns205 1,601 Posted March 20, 2016 So we had a few issues come up yesterday. Number 1, when both players have an Intel...do they both cancel each other out? Or do they simply allow everyone to pass? Does intel negate escort? Number 2, my Victory landed 10 damage onto an ISD...he rammed his raider and died...do I get the points for the kill? Drasnighta 26,832 Posted March 20, 2016 If both have heavy, everyone can move away. Intel - aka, heavy - only negates the Moving part of Engagement. If you choose to shoot at Squadrons, you must still shoot at an Escort Squadron. Yes, you get kills for what Dies. Not how it Dies.. Unless in the future, a Card effect tells you otherwise. (There are no cards at the moment that tell you not to count points)
Ardaedhel 10,844 Posted March 21, 2016 (edited) If both have heavy, everyone can move away. Intel - aka, heavy - only negates the Moving part of Engagement. If you choose to shoot at Squadrons, you must still shoot at an Escort Squadron. Heavy - You do not prevent engaged squadrons from attacking ships or moving. Heavy negates both the moving part and the ship-attacking part. While it's true that Escort still prevents engaged squadrons from attacking other squadrons without the Escort keyword, it is not accurate to say that it only negates the moving part of engagement. I've had it come up several times in the context of Intel where people were confused on this point. It is not correct to say that heavy only negates moving... It only does so when you are dealing with a purely squadron engagement with no ships in range.
