Core Rulebook anywhere online?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I have been looking for a copy of the core Rulebook to buy online since I live in a small town and I don't go to the city too often (that sounds funny to me now that I typed it).

Anyway, Amazon has been out of it for a while and so has FFG. There are other places but for whatever reason it's either above retail or from a website I've never heard of before. Does anyone have any suggestions or maybe some personal experience from a website that sells copies but may be from a less known retailer?

Also, just curious...why is it only the AoR book? I seem to be able to find EotE and FaD all over the place for retail or less.

Thanks!

I recommend Miniature Market in St. Louis, MO as they are a great group of folks and have good discounts on most of the things they sell. Their shipping is really quick and customer service is also fast to reply to any questions you have or if there is a mistake on your order. You also can earn points for buying stuff from them that you can use for more discounts on orders.

Curious I know Sun's of Fortune and the Jewel of Yavin seem to be out of print but unless they're planning a Revised 2nd Edition surely the Core Rulebooks shouldn't suffer the same fate?

After all how do they run Rebel or military based Star Wars games let alone X-Wing & Tie Fighter pilot role-playing games?!

And I don't mean Starfighter miniature game!

Is this seriously out of print?

Thanks everyone. Miniature Market is also out of stock, but Cool Stuff Inc has them in stock and at an amazing price! I had seen the website but didn't know anything about it and with that price being so low, and not knowing them I wasn't sure I should buy from them, but now I do. Thanks!

I have a long history of giving CoolStuff lots and LOTS of my money.  They are an excellent vendor.

Someone with better knowledge might correct me, but afaik EotE is older and has already one reprint rune more than AoR while FaD seems not that popular. Groups full of force users seem not the main reason people buy a whole core-rulebook full price. We have in our group for example 2 girls with AoR, one guy with FaD (he plays a force user), and one copy of EotE which again is owned by the couple playing smugglers who joined the Alliance.

On top of that is EotE available in localized version, while the whole bunch of new players have only the one edition of AoR available globally. And VII for sure generated a lot of "hey, lets play star wars (again)" across the globe.

Heck my wife spontaneous got us into X-Wing minis on top of that and the Minis are selling like cupcakes at our 4 flgs. And don't get me started on even getting the RPG stuff as Fly Casual, Stay on Target and AoR are constantly sold out. FFG is not able to deal with the demand at all. And they seem to be rather bitchy if stores ask them about eta for deliveries too, so I guess they got ask that question a few thousand times to often ;-)

Cool Stuff and Miniature Market are my two go to stores.  I'm visually impaired so can't drive to my local store (it's across town) so those to mail order spots get my business.  Amazon usually doesn't stock the FFG game books in a timely manner, and often only through third parties at a big markup.
