djpapabear 0 Posted November 10, 2009 I know that in the recent version of 40K, Hell weapons AP was improved, but in Rogue Trader they have a greater penetrating power than plasma weapons? I may have missed it, but is there any clarification on this? Thanks
MILLANDSON 306 Posted November 10, 2009 Well, when you take into account the fact you can, if you accept the downside of the Recharge trait, add 10m to the range, 1d10 damage, and 2 to Pen, it's fine I think.

Dalnor Surloc 1 Posted November 11, 2009 It's how hell weapons are intended to work. They fire a tight focused beam, while a plasma weapon fires a wider blast. Also in the table top war game hell guns have been given greatly increased AP. A plasma weapon is worth while against high toughness enemies as AP doesn't help. A better quality plasma weapon with the overcharging rules is quite powerful.

MILLANDSON 306 Posted November 11, 2009 No worries man, at least you've spotted it now. They so should have had it as a weapon trait, like Storm. It'd have been easier to spot.
