MrBody 10 Posted November 9, 2009 So we just played our first trial run game. I guess this was brought up in the broodwar balance thread, but why would you ever want to bother with firebats? Pretty much twice the cost of a marine with really no advantages and he can't shoot at flying units. I thought the ground splash damage would come in handy, but the combat cards that grant it to you also apply to marines as well so it's not even an exclusive ability. Is there any reason to ever bother getting firebats? The only situation I can think of is when all you have is a level 2 barracks (only reason to upgrade a barracks is to get to ghosts) and you desperately need more units and have already reached your limit for marines. cyb3k 0 Posted November 9, 2009 Yes, it is. Firebats are only (!) Terran units immune to Dark Swarm (Defiler's ability).
lastthai 2 Posted November 10, 2009 I think that card is error Marine sould not have splash so they fix them in broodwar(replace that card with only firebat has splash) and i expect one of stim pack card grant firebat splash too . just my opinion ^-^
