Moodswing vs Reath28:

Objective: Contested Outpost

1st Player: Moodswing

Reath28 win. MOV 500-12. 10-0.

Moodswing was a great sport this game. He had a really hard matchup vs my list as I was very squad heavy and had a huge advantage in that regard. Despite this he put some serious hurt on the squadrons and was unlucky not to do more damage to the Ship's with some bad roles and some amazing roles on my ISDs part.

A great opponent which has been characteristic of his team who are all great blokes. Im really hoping the last game works out in our favour so we can sneak in for the win :P.

Reath was awesome in this game. He had a brilliant handle on his fleet, in squad placement and ship movement. I only wish I could have been more of a challenge. But he helped put the nail in the space pickles coffin. Good luck to the church of Rocco, and I look forward to matches with these guys in the future.

So if I choose an objective that doesnt give points, there is nothing Chaos can do to win?

Don't you mean if you chose 3 objectives when you built your list at the beginning of the tournament then there is nothing Chaos can do to overtake Church of Rocco?

Just because objectives are secret doesn't mean you can change them between games.

Also, it doesn't mean Chaos can't win, it just means Chaos can't overtake Rocco.  They can still "win" by beating you 8 - 2.  That gets them 2nd place, and you guys 3rd.

He is referring to choosing one of Chill's (unknown) objectives, since (spoiler) Madagmire will take first player.

Miedomeda vs PT106 - Saturday 9th @ 1500 GMT - how did this one go?

I won this one. Unfortunately, Miedomeda had to leave before round 6, so we agreed on the outcome of the round (as opposed to him conceding the match), which ended up 243-101 in my favor (8-2).

(We played Opening Salvo with me destroying both mc30's, cr 90 and 2 x-wings vs him damaging VSD,  Raider I  and destroying TIE bomber and TIE Adv)

It was a challenging game with several unexpected twists and a very good opponent. The deciding factor was that the main forces were deployed in opposing corners, so ship engagement was delayed while my bombers had a free reign.

And we're done!

Doobleg wins 415-101 (9-1). I was first player, and we did Superior Positions.

Dorrin was a tough opponent, but he had his work cut out for him:

- he was subbing for MoffZen, so he was using MZ's list.

- he was playing at 1am after an 11 hour work day.

- he had no idea what objectives MoffZen had chosen, so he had to make them up on the spot.

These challenges didn't deter him, however, and really he brought the pain.

This game was a lot of fun, and we were both laughing even in the face of disaster. Looking forward to playing Dorrin again soon. :)

Replay is here. Enjoy! :D

Yeah gg to madaghmire he won 6-4.

This game does not lend itself well to team play. He only had to take a 5-5 to win the tournament (or something). He slow-played it and left the onus of chasing him on me (as 2nd player, with blue/black). I would never say it wasn't sporting, because it's well within the rules of the game, but it makes for a crap game. Since this was a game for Internet points, I carried on, even when I was slightly winning (enough to let his team lose 1st place).

A waste of 4 hours of my life. Not playing on equal footing is terribly frustrating. If we meet again, Mad, I will give you the win.
