PhyrexianScience 3 Posted February 13, 2016 It seems like Scum just get shittier versions of both faction's benefits. Now we've been given a sh*tty version of Regen. At the cost of 1 stress token, it's possible for a ship with a Crew Upgrade slot to regenerate 1 shield each turn. Coming in at a sweet 44 points is a Bossk like no other before. List 1: Just Bossk Bossk - YV-666 (35 + 9) Veteran Instincts (1) "Gonk" (2) K4 Security Droid (3) Experimental Interface (3) Total: 44 Obviously there is room for whatever else you want to put in, but I think this should be the stock. Hound's Tooth doesn't even seem bad as a PS 7 Headhunter for 6 points, bringing the one ship to 50 points. The question is, what do we run alongside Bossk? Another big guy? A bunch of smaller guys? The new Jumpmaster? Firespray? Heavy Scyks? Y-Wings? Personally, I like smaller ships: The idea of two Heavy Scyks sits pretty well with me: 2x Tansarii Point Veteran - M3-A Interceptor (17 + 10) Veteran Instincts (1) Stealth Device (3) "Heavy Scyk" Interceptor (2) "Mangler" Cannon (4) These guys have PS 7 each, making them a pretty effective fighting force. They have (basically) three attack dice and four defense dice each, making them essentially TIE Interceptors without a Boost action. Alongside the above Bossk this allows for two more points as an initiative bid or something else for our regenerating friend. Possibly Tactician to lay down the Stress? Now, Y-Wings are a favourite of mine, and with our free 56 points we can equip them with R4 Agromechs for target locks each time we attack. Not having to aim them is really fun: 2x Syndicate Thugs - Y-Wing (18 + 8) Twin Laser Turret (6) R4 Agromech (2) Now this leaves 4 points to use on Bossk. "Mangler" Cannon? With Bossk, it pretty much makes his primary weapon have another attack die. Personally I'm more in favour of the Scyks. I'm straight off the TIE Interceptor train, so I may be a bit biased towards these. I've never played TLT Y-Wings either, but I feel like it would be incredibly fun. Not having to aim is such a very good perk (unless a ship has Autothrusters). What do you guys suggest? Is the Bossk - Scyk List good enough to compete? Carnor Rex 253 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) It's a worse regen because it's a crew where rebels droids cant benefit large ships. Fair trade I feel. On bossk lose k4 for dengar. He doesn't telegraph his punches as much this way and always works. Losing EU really hurts but you could replace it with the bosskigator (navigator + fins). Not as good but it's something. I'd probably lose EI for EU and slow roll the token bank though honestly. Mango is extraneous IME. Nice at times but bossk lives to broadside. It gives him better avenues of escape and its difficult to keep opponents in arc regardless. Plus range 1 favors primary unless his shots are unmodified. I've also put together a Boba/Latts build. All this is untested at this point, but I am, I won't say excited, but curious to see how it plays out.
