Shards of Everdark H&M Pack announced!

Recommended Posts

Yeah, Shades changed...Now they don't fly but those new abilities sound interesting for new strategies. I don't like Soul Shackle so much, I prefered Leech but well...at least master got +1 HP.

Also I think Arvel got buffed, now she can return 2 exp instead of 1 and recovers fatigue upon failing an attribute test (in addition to her previous ability)  which is nice.

Yes, yes, yes!

Yes#1: Flicker looks fun. It's like Oath of Honor, but for a monster (and with a test). Shades are fast.

Yes#2: Soul shackle is brutal, and it seems like it will really hit the heroes where it hurts.

Yes#3: Finally another cold monster!

Five shades walking around with some healers in backup can be really really annoying (in a good way :P ).

Love the new skills and dying of curiosity to see the icy wyrms.

If Soul Shackle from different Shades stacks, it could really hurt...

and I just suggested to my OL that he use Shades against the healer...

I'm reading it similar to the crow hags, but with fatigue. In that reading, it would absolutely stack. Oh, you were trying to rest? Sorry, I think I'll damage these 4 shades instead.

The shades represent a great way to attack the heroes. I want to combine them with the "Scourge" from Chains.

Note to self, do not play Zaltyre as OL in MoBH or CtR campaigns...

I'm assuming Arvel is your favorite hero Zaltyre? I'm guessing you will be picking this up on Day 1?

I don't really care for Arvel, actually. I'm interested to see steelhorns, but the other heroes in "everdark" are not among my personal favorites. I'm mostly excited for this pack because of the new minotaurs and now the shades.

I'm really curious to see Karnon for myself, since i'm really fond about "non-human like heroes", same for stellhorns.

Arvell looks like fun, but i'm not sure her feat would be of any real use in a game. Funny for sure, but worth it ?

I'm currently fighting her as a Treasure Hunter, and it is quite versatile to make use of every 1 exp card from the very beginning of the game. After that, they went to the 3 exp card, and they were performing nice combos using the feat on every encounter.

If arvel fails one test and reroll the test whit Lucky charm, and fails that test aswell, she gets 2 fatige right ;-)

Good question, is an attribute test considered failed if you reroll? I'd think it would still be the same attribute test even if she uses her ability and her lucky charm to re-roll twice. Wouldn't all 3 rolls be considered the same attribute test with 2 extra chances to pass?

What is very clear is Arvel laughs at the Overlord when he tries to Disease her, "I've traveled the world, there is no STD that can stop me!"

That's a pretty funny way to think of the Zombies disease...

Makes the Zombies pretty scary :P

Only in a game with this kind of fantasy theme, with crazy mages hurling fireballs, giant hulking creatures the size of houses and winged flying serpents would Zombies seem like, "meh, not so bad, don't know what all the fuss is about..."

Go ask Rick Grimes if Zombies are scary lol :P

Well I think I would still think of them as scary if one was right in  front of me....

You know, if I weren't the egomaniac OL commanding them and stuff? :P

... God... I love to be the OL in Descent...

I would ask Rick, but since Negan killed him at the end of this past season I'll have to ask someone else.  Maybe Abraham or Daryl would know.....
