Kealios 3 Posted January 21, 2016 I just got the game last week, and had my first play last night. Loved it! I purchased those 16-slot Ultra Pro sleeves that have been popping up on Ebay, and I've prepared dividers with the Upgrade Card Icons on them...but my biggest question is, HOW do I sort the Faction-specific cards? I ask because, as usual, I am the sole provider of game material for my friends - they come over, we drink, and we play with my models I was thinking of putting all cards in one binder, sorted by Upgrade type, and if a player wants a faction-specific card, there it is. Alternatively, I could make 2 or even 3 binders and put faction-specific cards in their own place, but that really seems like a waste of resources and a bit of overkill. What do you do? Jimbo2142 52 Posted January 21, 2016 (edited) I got 1 CoreSet and a minimum of 2 copies of every ship type in the game - so I got something about 160 Upgrade Cards at all.I've sorted them by upgrade types, beginning with imperial commanders. Each upgrade card type begins with the most expensive card. So for example for imperial commanders: Tarkin, Vader, Screed.. for offensive retrofit: Phylon Q7, Extended Hangar, ... After that I devided my cards into 4 stacks and packed each stack in the small plastic bags which comes with the game. stack 1 contains Imperial commanders, rebel commanders, imperial officers, rebel officers... stack 2 contains Titles, Officers, ... ... This system allows me to be very efficient in deploying my cards/integrate my cards back in the stacks Edited January 21, 2016 by Jimbo2142
VanorDM 11,599 Posted January 21, 2016 (edited) but my biggest question is, HOW do I sort the Faction-specific cards? What I do is sort cards by type, alphabetically. For X-Wing, which has a ton more cards, I don't bother sorting them by faction. If I'm building a Rebel list Emperor Palpatine isn't an option so the fact that he's mixed in with the rest of the crew cards just doesn't matter. If you wanted you could sort by type then faction, but I see no need to separate them into different books or anything. The most I'd do is different pages. But that means 'wasted' pages as there aren't all that many of some types of upgrades. Oh and it seems that they finally got mini-card sleeves back in stock, my LGS had a box of them last Wednesday, first time I've seen them since Regionals last year. Frimmel 2,593 Posted January 21, 2016 My FLGS got in 16 pocket pages that fit the upgrade cards from BCW. I have Rebel commanders, Rebel only officers, Rebel Titles, Imp commander, Imp only officers, Imperial titles, and the rest alphabetically within each upgrade type. Ken-Obi 381 Posted January 21, 2016 I use the new Flexxfolio 9 card binder (mini-American size) for Armada and X-Wing and I think it's perfect. I put faction specific cards together, then everything else I organize by upgrade type. If you use binders like these, I suggest you leave blank pages in between the card types so that you have room to grow without having to reorganize. jasonkc25 40 Posted January 21, 2016 Cool Stuff Inc. sells a Mini American folio by Ultimate Guard that works great for storing upgrade cards. Highly recommended. http://www.coolstuffinc.com/p/222151 J
