200 point (what??) Rebel build

Recommended Posts

One of our local game stores is running a very casual 200-point tournament.  I don't know all of the details, but I was told we'll all be playing Opening Salvo.  Squadron points are capped at 60.  Also, admirals are not required.

So this is what I ginned up for 200 points, Opening Salvo, sans admiral:

-CR90A

Walex Blissex

Turbolaser Reroute Circuits

Jaina's Light

Purpose: Primary attacker

-CR90A

Turbolaser Reroute Circuits

Purpose: Lead ship, blocker and protecting Walex ship

-CR90A

Tantive IV

Lando Calrissian

Turbolaser Reroute Circuits

Purpose: Escort/support Walex

3x A-Wings

Right at 200 points.

I expect someone will have at least one 2-Guppy build, which I think will be difficult to counter.

The A-Wings give me enough squadron ability to counter any 60-point squadron build.  Otherwise, they add a nice black die and I can fly them with the CR90s.

I've also considered trying to running three CR90As with TLRC and one CR90B with SW7.  If I'm facing squadrons, a fast-moving CR90 swarm shouldn't be that vulnerable to them.

Thoughts?

If you lose some upgrades you can switch a CR90 for an MC30 Foresight!

Interesting thought.  Charge in with the MC30 and let the CR90s lay back and plink away?  I'm pretty sure that the MC30 won't last long, but it will take a few of the enemy ships with it.

Not sure if that many points is worth it in this list.  It would basically be two naked CR90s, MC30-Foresight, and I think only two A-Wings.  I can't imagine running the CR90s against a small list without TLRC.
