Four games, four victory's and three dead MC80's

So, I recall there being some talk of Ackbar commanding an MC80 and wreaking ISD face. ISD-I maybe, but I can safely report that in four games I'v played with wave two, my ECM'ed ISD-II has not only weathered Ackbars fire, but destroyed him twice, and added a third with Dodonna in command. In one instance I took a 9 dice Home one broadside to the face, with the result being 7-8 hits. ECM braced the damage, and then commenced with ending the Home one with Avenger. I'm not saying it can't happen, but I will no longer fear Home One, or Ackbar.

Well, no, you don't necessarily fear Ackbar and Home one itself... just the escorts pumping out dice with gunnery teams and the guaranteed accuracy they are getting.

 

What else was in these lists? Were they concentrating their fire against one ISD at a time or splitting their fire?

Most of their support elements consisted of AFMK II's Cr90's and I saw an MC30 Scout make one of the opposing lists. The first couple games, yes they did try to focus down the ISD, with no success, the other games the fire was spread out amongst ships they could hit within their optimum range. with devastating effect, a couple games saw me lose my Gladiator and raider support ships, but objectives/ ISD brute-squading allowed me to carry the day, the other games were just my ISD more or less just shooting them to pieces.

you mean they did not hit you with an CR90 B with overloaded pulse first? not a very well planned attack from my point of view.

No, no overload pulse on any of their ships.
