tgall 796 Posted December 29, 2015 So it would seem the Disney took out Space Rocks, a British company that made asteroids, and other fun things to augment stuff for both X-Wing and Armada. (http://www.space-rocks.co.uk) Wonder if FFG will release some 3-D asteroids or maybe a space station for both Armada and X-Wing? Here I was all set to put an order in having gotten into both games over the holidays. Talk about a mega-damper... Anyone have some alternative suggestions? Blue 1 TR 36 Posted December 29, 2015 Gale Force 9 has some good 3D asteroids. Not seen any others but I'm sure there's other companies that make asteroids. Though it isn't too hard to make your own. I'm lazy so will probably just buy GF9 ones. 1 n815e reacted to this
Tekwych 270 Posted December 30, 2015 this set of 16 astroids on 8 basses looks great and comes a sweet pice. Spartan Games are a slightly smaller scale but the accessories work very well. Fun games in their own right.

lordzel 84 Posted December 30, 2015 DIY? Kids these days with their ready made prepainted terain pieces! Back in our day we used rocks ( but no sticks, those hadn't been invented yet) DIY Instructions. 1: Crumple ball of paper. 2: Spraypaint said paper. 3: Stick paper on straw. 4: Glue straw to asteroid token. Perfect.
Dagonet 7,246 Posted December 30, 2015 Get a sponge, tear it in pieces, spraypaint it. Use wire to get tiny bits to form a cluster of mini asteroids. Paper tends to uncrumple. .
FTS Gecko 24,135 Posted December 30, 2015 Gale Force 9 has some good 3D asteroids. GF9 also produced some "space laser turrets" which are eerily reminiscent of the Death Star turbolasers. Do not enrage the Mouse...

Robin Graves 6,054 Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) Heh, didn't know you could copyrights asteroids* Maybe space rocks will be ok as long as they don't refer to anything specific from star wars. Like here is an upgrade kit for "the ship that that smuggler played by Harrison Ford flies for that spaceship minis game". Actualy thats how a lot of 3d party transformer toy makers work. They make figure that is clearly G1 "Shockwave" but they name him "Quackewave". And that's legit. So maybe call the millenium falcon a "Centurial Hawk" or something * forgot there was an "Asteroids" arcade game. So you can copyright asteroids Edited December 30, 2015 by Robin Graves

Robin Graves 6,054 Posted December 31, 2015 Actualy copyright is a **** bizzare thing. My favourite James Bond movie (Never say never again) isn't "official", let alone canon. Marvel owns X-men but not the right to movies about the X-men. Sam Raimi can't make any references to (his own movie) Army of Darkness in Ash VS Evil Dead.* And more of such nonesense... * great series you should definatly check it out. Emrico 410 Posted January 1, 2016 Space Rocks most likely got the C&D for making molds of ships and casting them to make wrecks and also for producing and unlicensed Nebulon-B Frigate model, NOT for asteroids. Of course Marvel doesn't own the right to make movies about the X-Men, they sold the rights themselves. . Same with Spider-man, until recently. That's why we got such crappy movies, so the owner could retain the rights instead of having them revert. It's why Prince changed his name for a while. Not nonsense, business. 1 imprezagoatee reacted to this
