Once again JJs list was not equipped to Take mine on unless he was 1st player. Great Game to JJ it's always fun for me to play Him Watch the Stream to see the whole game! BiggsIRL 6,717 Posted February 13, 2016 We are now into the Finals! Tournament score, MOV, a Jedi craves not these things. Do, or do not. There is no try. Will Clontroper5 and his Cadillac Demolisher / Raider Swarm come out on top, or will it be the "Corrupted Fireball" of Madaghmire? We'll be finding out real soon. Final must be played by Tuesday, February 23rd, at 23:59 GMT. Remember, if you don't get your game in by then, I flip a coin. DO NOT MAKE ME DO THIS FOR THE FINAL. 1 CaribbeanNinja reacted to this
BiggsIRL 6,717 Posted February 13, 2016 Cross post from the replay thread: Who needs vassal to see the replay in 15-30 minutes, when you can watch the replay on twitch, in a solid 2 hour block? Featuring technical errors, bad microphones, stupid commentary, and horrible pictures from the darkest reaches of the internet. JRockNZ 45 Posted February 14, 2016 Just finished watching Clone and JJ's games. Really interesting to watch. I don't think i've seen any players use the speed 0 before. Great work Biggs on setting up the stream and record. Have just received my first 2 Raiders and am pretty keen to try a fit out inspired by Clone against the player base here in Auckland. Bring on the final. Winner takes all for the inaugural Vassal world cup! 2 clontroper5 and BiggsIRL reacted to this

Ardaedhel 10,840 Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) The problem with your "he's beaten everybody else that I didn't expect him to" analysis, I think, is that Mag has lots of points tied up in anti-squadron, which has helped him in every elimination game up till now, but will do him no good here. That deployment advantage well help him, but I don't think it'll be enough. Demo will crush whichever ship deploys first, leaving the other one with 4 Raiders to address. I'm rooting for you, Mag, but this is Clon's jam right here. Edited February 15, 2016 by Ardaedhel 1 clontroper5 reacted to this
Viperous 351 Posted February 15, 2016 This has been one awesome tourney to follow!!! The contrasting fleets that took part have been incredibly fun to watch! Thanks Biggs for all your hard work that you have injected into this competition. I can't wait until Thursday!!! Best of luck to both Madag and Clon. (My prediction is a thrashing close win for Clon) (I may have a go in the next vassal tournament, so watch out! )

Ardaedhel 10,840 Posted February 15, 2016 Nah, I play Cutter regularly: that fleet relies on those Firesprays for quite a bit of his firepower; his two Raiders are practically naked; and he only brought three activations to the table. I don't think you'll be able to treat Clon's list like Cutter's and win it.On the other hand, you're the guy in the finals, not me. Prove me wrong on the table! 2 Pilot no55389 and clontroper5 reacted to this

And the Demolisher has more or less the same kit/ last-first activation ability, sans intel, that makes clons list so dangerous. I'm still pretty boned here. miedomeda 215 Posted February 18, 2016 This is the day. Everybody get hyped! I already am, it's just sad that it'll be 3 am here , I'll be watching the commented stream tomorrow (at least, I hope so, assuming you will stream and all). On a sidenote, do you plan on running more tournaments in the future with the same formula or was this just too much effort?

On a sidenote, do you plan on running more tournaments in the future with the same formula or was this just too much effort? This was a fun formula, but it is also a lot of effort. If I run it again, I'd probably sit out from the start, and work on steaming games / TOing. Not sure what the next tournament will look like, or if I will run it, or anything beyond tonight. A group of us have some ideas percolating around for regular non-tournament events, and discussions are ongoing for that. 3 Pilot no55389, miedomeda and clontroper5 reacted to this

This post has taken a turn... BTW, I would throw my hat in the ring on the next event now that I have a few vassal games under my belt. This looked like a great event and I wish I had tried to get in on it. 1 Pilot no55389 reacted to this
