SterlingKnight 4 Posted December 23, 2015 My speculation on Star Wars Force Awakens Impact on Armada Quick summary, since there was only a handful of ships and fighters in the movie, Force Awakens ships will not in wave 3, but by Episode 8 a full scale war will be shown and they will be in wave 4. DerErlkoenig 975 Posted December 24, 2015 More like wave 5 or 6. At the earliest, yeah. They probably want Wave 5 out by the end of 2016 if they can... So we're still looking at 2 years until E VIII.

Ironlord 933 Posted February 3, 2016 I think a good way to get TFA into Armada would be for them to be new cards for existing models - but no new models (at least initially) - instead - the cards go with the existing Core models. That way, it doesn't invalidate the Core set. A all-card & paper TFA set could include: TIE/FO base templates & cards T-70 X-wing base templates & cards Nebulon-K base template & cards "CR-120 Corvette" (made up for TFA) base template & cards "Victory III Star Destroyer" (made up for TFA - inspired by the modified VicStar's seen in post-New Jedi Order novels) base template & cards Updated ruiebook /rules reference etc Result - a fairly cheap set that requires the existing Core set. Does that seem like it might work?
RogueCorona 1,043 Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) The problem with that is what happens if the Nebulon-K and a new CR-xx or CR-xxx design show up in episode VIII but look nothing like the Nebulon-B or the CR-90? Yea after the success of Force Awakens, which as of now has made just almost 2 billion dollars, it seems they've pushed back and are just going to release the Star Wars films in a December slot.
