400 Point Imperial

So I finally got my wave 2 stuff.  First game I played with it got the floor wiped with me. 

 

Empire Fleet (374 of 400 pts)
Commander: Admiral Motti (24 pts)
Flagship: (156 pts)

  • Imperial II-Class Star Destroyer(120 pts)
  • Avenger (5 pts)
  • Gunnery Team (7 pts)
  • Phylon Q7 Tractor Beams (6 pts)
  • Electronic Counter Measures (7 pts)
  • XX-9 Turbolasers (5 pts)
  • SW-7 Ion Batteries (5 pts)


Fleet Ship 1: (81 pts)

  • Victory I-Class Star Destroyer(73 pts)
  • Ordnance Experts (4 pts)
  • Boosted Comms (4 pts)


Fleet Ship 2: (57 pts)

  • Raider I-Class Corvette(44 pts)
  • Impetuous (4 pts)
  • Ordnance Experts (4 pts)
  • Assault Proton Torpedoes (5 pts)


Squadrons (80 of 134 pts):

  • 2x Tie Bomber Squadron (18 pts)
  • 1x Major Rhymer Tie Bomber Squadron (16 pts)
  • 1x Punishing One - Dengar (20 pts)

Objectives: Advanced Gunnery , Fleet Ambush , Minefields

 

Any specific tweaks anyone would make to this list?  I did not play optimally, but I'm wondering if the list could be a little stronger.

yeah, 26pt bid is insane.  Add another fighter or 2... lol.   Rymer ball is outdated, and too easy to counter, especially with Wave 2 Rogues.  Nothing with Escort means your special fighters are getting smashed early and often...

I agree that you should add some TIEs or upgrades to round out that bid more reasonably... but Rhymer is far from outdated.

Well I'm glad someone noticed that. The fleet builder that I had screen capped with my list said 397. No wonder it was so lopsided lol

I will say I was able to slip his fighter screen pretty quickly with the Raider adding a fire and Deng ar giving intel.

Edit : that actually is 397 if you add it all up. So it was just a trouncing.

Vic 1 is too slow to keep up with the rest, unless you blast it ahead and hold back the isd, but in wave two I'd you present a target without ecms it's going to get murdered, either by xi7s on imps needing only once acc to effectively shut down all your tokens or by rebels running xi7s or home one. I know you want it as a carrier but it isn't very effective.
