So I got a tree this year and I trusted the guys at the shop.

 

I TRUSTED THEM!!!

 

Yeah, it's about 1.5' taller than last years. I told those guys nothing over 6' as my ceilings are on the low end of 8'. This thing had 6" touching the ceiling. I had to go get another strand of lights to finish it.

I live in Canada with my Wife and 2 Year old.  Its Cold, and its Dark.

The rest of my Family is in Australia, where I grew up, and I havn't seen them for 6 years so far.

 

I hate the Holidays.  All of this "wonderful time" stuff.  Just reminds me of everything I'm missing...  I don't even have the spare cash to make anything really fun happen for my toddler, either...  

I'm just hoping This years Christmas presents sent from overseas arrive...  Last years never arrived.

To be honest you got your wife and your toddler. You are doing a lot better than several people I know. I know the times my toddler is the happiest is when he is playing with me or my wife. Your toddler's fondest memories could be created for free. Cheer up buddy
