blade_mercurial 2,091 Posted November 23, 2015 3 ships certainly is a 'tiny' swarm.... Anyway, I've never had success flying interceptors in formation. They don't like to have their movement options become predictable, although at least you could break Carnor away at any time and not really be any worse off, so there is that. In a way, its kind of a catch 22: if you don't want Carnor to be stressed, you have to fly in formation (therefore somewhat predictable) to keep his dial open (but he can't take full advantage of it as long as he's in formation). And once he breaks formation with a 'surprise' move, he's back to being stressed at the end of each turn, and therefore stuck on green moves like any other PTL interceptor... Epsilon Leader does give a significant assist to Mauler though, so I guess there's that. I still feel that it would be nice to have more ships, because Mauler is so easy to kill (despite possibly having 2 tokens for defense). Alternative would be: 2 academy pilots + howlrunner = 42 Jax w/ PTL, title, hull & Autos = 34 Vader shuttle = 24 100 1 extra ship, but 2 have PS1, so not necessarily better, although more consistent firepower and better overall durability...
